Todays shop time.

funny I just don't associate Northern Alberta with hot days at the lake and outside showers. Now at the NJ shore...
Kevin, nice job on that. Are you going to clear varnish it? (or perhaps you already did)

And what are the two small holes under the faucet? Outlet for foot wash?

The upper of the two holes is the valve to turn on the foot sprayer. Hard to see but there is a metal 1/4 turn valve handle. Lower one is for the foot sprayer.

I do want to do a finish to keep the wood from graying, just haven’t yet as I don’t know what to use and have enjoyed the smell of warm water on the cedar.

Our summers are warm here, just very short. The last two months most days were over 25 Celsius on average and the day I built this was 35 Celsius (96 F). The weather is great for two months and we make the most of it. Most projects outdoors get pushed to fall and spring as to not waste the bit of great weather working around the yard.

I finished building this stand for my Baldor buffer.

It was a bit of a drawn out project utilizing scrapped pallet jack forks for the uprights. In the end the only thing I had to buy was paint.

Very nice and some style points too! I would love to happen upon a Baldor buffer like yours, to go along with my Baldor grinder. What a smooth and quiet running motor!

Picked up a couple more LED shop lights from Costco and a new fire extinguisher for the barn.

I bought a couple of them a few months ago and love them. $19 or $20 and a good bright light.

I'll get the lights hung under my loft and the fire extinguisher tomorrow. And since I'll be in the barn, I'll probably check to be sure the mini-fridge is keeping the beer cold.

Such hardships in life. How do I continue this horror.

I recently bought four more of the Costco LEDs even though I don't have a spot for them yet. My garage shop is well lit now with them. I also bought a the new 'larger' fire extinguisher and replaced an old smaller one.

Oh, and thanks for the reminder, I just checked my mini fridge in my shop and yep... the beer is cold! :D

yup, same here. though I'm usually going in the enclosed woodshop in my barn looking for a sports drink
in the heat of the day. Little portable a/c in woodshop takes the worst of the heat off but won't get below 80 on a 100 degree day.
Rains so much here I run the a/c regularly just to prevent mold. I have a chair in there equidistant from a big fan and the a/c output,
I call it my aahhh chair. Tired, sopping wet, I sit in that chair and drink a no calorie sports drink and get my body temp down.
Though usually the shirt comes off, a/c and wet clothes sure don't mix.

Big Barn, that deserves a first prize wow...
