Montgomery Ward - GREAT prices!

The demise of a lot of brick and mortar retail stores and chains should make it clear that a good investment is in delivery services...

Every day there are more and more TV/radio etc. commercials hawking things like daily delivery of groceries and single meal components including fresh vegetables, meats and seafood...

There will be niche air cargo and last mile outfits sprouting up all over...get anything from anywhere anytime at reasonable prices depending on market sizes...

The business model worked for dairy companies back when "milk men" were the norm...everybody had a milk box on the back step...leave a list and money get milk, chocolate milk :) butter, cream etc...

^^^^ Very true. OTOH I will wait and do what I will always do... decide to jump on the train just as the caboose is disappearing around the corner.

If you have MF's in a 401k or other resources you're good...they got you covered unless your strategy is extreme...

I have that covered with my 401K and IRA. If it was me trying to manage my retirement funds it would be as I described above... watching that train leave the station. :D

Delivery is highly dependent on good roads without backups and price of fuel...

Can you imagine what a return to gas lines would do highly dependent on surface street deliveries?

I remember back in the 70's all of a sudden rail freight increased as the cost of fuel increased...

I believe Warren Buffet has invested heavily in trains...

Interesting. You could do worse than follow Buffet. I would want to know how long ago he invested and how much the stocks gone up since then. Could be we already missed that train. :)

Always worth knowing how the big boys move their money. I thought it was interesting that some years ago, the Bush family bought an aquifer.

Nobody spends more money paying analysts to research companies/stocks than mutual fund managers...that's why it's called "smart money"...

Another important statistic when researching individual issues is the amount owned by institutions (mostly MF's)...!

Most of the popular MF's disclose their portfolios online and show whether they have increased or decreased the size of their positions of individual securities...
