“Got insurance issue with boat cleared up, some note babbling about too much motor for the hull  Double checked hull rated for 200 only have 150 on it :D. They call wife while I was mowing and said they found their problem and they will correct it”

Back in 1986 before I bought my Donzi I had a Checmate that was called 17 ft, but measured just over 16. I had a Yamaha Pro V 150 on it and it was rated for 140, so I was going to be slick and wrote the distributor for the net HP rating thinking I could pull that over on them, turns out it was a bass tournament motor and actual output was 179! LOL So I called the Bain Beekly agency in TX and paid the rate.

Morning folks! Hope you all slept well, great looking day here. Cooled into the 70s late yesterday. Don’t know how long it will last.

Hope you all get your jobs done today, have a great one. Prayers.

Interesting on finding out you are claustrophobic Ronjhall. Wife does a fully body scan in a standing tube. Last time I got to watch as the operator "star treked" her. Only took a less than a minute. Had gobs of imagery. Doctors had it before we left the room. Phenomenal piece of machinery. Tons of money for sure. Amazing details. Only a few hospitals have them due to new tech. Operator said it is evolutionary. Yeah...I said.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 4:00AM. Partly cloudy. Areas of smoke and haze are possible, reducing visibility at times. High 86F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

I wish there was a way to see larger versions of our avatar pictures; the tiny ones don't do justice to Buppies hard work and beautiful home and green, green, green landscaping. Then there are others I've never quite figured out just what they are.:confused3:

I've never been impressed with Home Depot service, Rip. Seems like every time I try to special order something there the paperwork gets lost or otherwise screwed up and it takes at least twice as long for merchandise to arrive. And more often than not, what shows up is not what was ordered. Then there was the time one of the helpers drove his forklift through the rear window of my camper shell... And Lowes is even worse.

Last time I had an MRI, Ron, the operator asked me what kine of music I liked, and I told him anything from Bob Seger. He even upped the volume enough I could clearly hear it over the thumping of the big magnets in the machine. Kind of hard to nod off with all that racket, though:D

It sounds like brick repointing is one of those jobs best savored and enjoyed over a long period of time so as to have something to look forward to, Eric. Wouldn't want to finish it all this year and have nothing to do but drown worms in the pond, would you?

Would flying first class help ease your distaste for airplanes, Drew? I never cared much for air travel, either, but when I compared it to the time needed to cover long distances on the ground, it was easier to tolerate. A good pair of noise cancelling headphones helped, too.

Again the smoke came in like a dark cloud bank yesterday evening and blocked out the sunset. Seems clear this morning, though, as I can at least see some stars overhead. Looks like it'll be cooler this week thanks to a low pressure system dropping down out of Alaska. And highs will stay in the 80s for at least the next ten days!

I was able to cobble together a cardboard template for a bracket yesterday, and scare up a piece of 0.190" thick chrome moly plate left over from repairing the FEL on the Kubota, so today I'll see how good I am at translating one into the other. Might even cheat and use some nutserts to make installation easier. Also got a longer hanger fabricated and welded on to the exhaust collector, and found out that the clamp for it was no good. Time for another trip to the BMW dealer I guess.

Good morning! The heat was broken yesterday by clouds, lightning and a few drops of rain. Whipper did not try to jump the fence when the lightning booms hit. Whipper was allowed to sleep all night outside after being inside for two nights for excessive coyote barking.

77˚ heading to the hundreds every day till the end of the month. Painting and mowing in the AM. Spinning in the PM.

Still waiting for the Lee county Sheriff's report to come out in the paper to see what dastardly criminal was roaming on Kyle's place. Giddings Times and News should hit the stands at the grocery store 11AM tomorrow and my Mom will get the paper in the mail PM on Thursday. Of course Kyle's wife will pick up the paper at noon tomorrow so at 12:10 PM Kyle will get a call during his lunch and at 12:30 will post and the mystery will be solved.

Had to look that up. Open Upright MRI. I would get that instead of the one I was in yesterday.

69 this morning and headed to 80 today. Last chance of rain for 10 days today.

Getting ready for birds. They come Thursday. Putting down feed today. Probably cutting hay tomorrow after I get back from Polaris dealership. Ranger needs work.

Kyle and Ed what a series of events.

Kyle. Trucks doing good. Really happy with fuel mileage. Almost double my old truck. 18 instead of 10. And that diesel isn’t even broken in. So it should get a little better. 1100 miles so far. Drove it on a trip to Louisville last weekend. Averaged right at 20 for mostly highway miles.

Drew. Interesting to know your yearly totals.

Others get well or stay well.

LS happy belated anniversary.

Good morning to all! Low of 42° this morning, going up to 84°. Slight chance of a shower late tonight, but much better tomorrow night and Thursday. Saw a report last night that our area is still 5 inches below the normal rain totals. When you only get 12" total, that's quite the deficit.

Going to run some errands today, then putter about this afternoon. Back to work tomorrow, 4 days off sure go by fast. Wonder why 3 days at work seem to take sooooo much longer?

Hope everyone is able to get their projects done without difficulty. Sometimes it is extremely frustrating relying on supplies to arrive timely and be correct.

Crazy amount of rain up in the Wisconsin area...Hope everybody living there stays out of harms way.

Have a great day! Prayers out this morning.

68°F and light drizzle this morning, going up to 80° today. The weather widget on the iThingie says we're looking at upper 70s to around 80° for the rest of the week. So, a big 'thank you' to whoever is doing the mild-temperatures-in-August dance.

EITW, I kind of always view this thread the same way, bunch of us old farts sitting around drinking coffee (or tea) while entertaining each other with our stories. More pie, anyone? While I'm up? :p

... after many years of practise, I'm used to handling self inflicted regrets.

I hope you don't mind my absconding with this quote, Eric, but I posted it on my Facebook page as the "Internet Quote Of The Day" (with non-identifying attribution, of course).
