So, back from another 2000 mile trip, got the boys back to college. Drove 600 miles today, from cookeville TN. My biggest disappointment was pulling onto krispy kreme this morning and discovering it had closed up. They just built it a couple yrs ago.
Well, the cats missed us.

Just ran over to my neighbors house, a car ran through the corn field and ran into his front walk steps and rolled over in his yard. The guy was going so fast an ear of corn flew across my neighbors lot and bounced off of my house. The guy was very drunk and walked away from it. View attachment 567588 Ed

OH MY! After reading to the end and seeing the guy was alright, I have to admit I was flabbergasted about the "flying corn cob". How far you figure it flew? After seeing the vehicle, that fellow might want to go to church, and quit using fentanyl.

Yesterday was the 35th time that wifey and I made the symbiotic chaotic journey around the sun together (anniversary). Best friends, partners, definitely better halves. A lot has happened over those years, some sad, some bad, some great, but we did it all together. Wouldn't want to change anything. My only question is: where did all that time go?

Congrats to you and your wifey. If you find out where that time went, please let me know, I've been wondering where mine went....

PJ, I had ducks before. They got imprinted on their kennel cage and would not re-train themselves to stay at the pond. They pooped a plenty. I had one of those small 4 foot diameter x 10" deep cheap vinyl pools for them. They'd get it so dirty in just a few days, that I hated to even have to dump it. Let me tell you when I put fresh clean water in it, they would immediately dive in torpedo style to the far side to wash off and have fun. That was the funnest part of owning them.


I did email the sheriff's dept asking for some more info and if there was any further precautions we should take. Have not heard back from them.

I'm late getting to the internet today...puppy sitting is a full time job, plus had some errands to run after a workout at the gym.

I too, get worn out just reading about your exploits.

If I go to Montana to look at glaciers, can I drop my new puppy (don't have one yet)off with you? How much is puppy potty training going for these days?

Good evening all. 75F (and the front wasn't through yet!) clear and calm. Wind hit 12-18 with front passage then slowed a bit, and high temp was 88F. No rain here with the front going through, but did rain in the Dallas area. Bike ride this morning, followed by mowing got close to half done. Got insurance issue with boat cleared up, some note babbling about too much motor for the hull Double checked hull rated for 200 only have 150 on it . They call wife while I was mowing and said they found their problem and they will correct it. Have to start walking dog earlier now that sun going down earlier.

Drew, your garden is still putting out a decent amount. Ours has long been burned up by the heat and drought.

Bocci ball is free unless you want to join the club then its $12 a year. That pays for drinks, socials and improvements and use of the "better balls".
I don't quite remember the cost for joining the Wood working. I think it is a one time fee of about $100 and then about $20 a year after that.
Fitness classes are $3
pool and gym are free
Dancing is $7.50 a class
