The low looks to be 47°, yesterday was dry and mostly sunny. Today is going to be in the 80's, partly sunny with the wind 25-35 mph.

The rendezvous was kind of a bust not many people I did run into a guy that that I shot with in the buffalo shoots in Ut. He was with a nephew of my late stepmother. It surprised me to see them there.

Not much planned for today.

Kyle ... Happy anniversary to you and your wife.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.
CWB.

Good morning to all! Low was a bit warmer due to clouds, but still nice at 56°. Going up to 82°. Rain chances decreased as a high pressure system builds over us. By tomorrow, no chances for the next 4 days. Good news about that would be that it will push the moisture over western and central Texas. Maybe Don, Kyle, and Rigustafson will get some needed rain.

I pray you're correct sir. My daughter mowed, but only needed where we have done a bit of watering. We have scorched and cracked earth.

Thanks for the link Ron, it looks like the evidence leads to a fox. Time to start keeping a loaded shotgun within arm's reach. I may go to get a trap today too. So many irons in the fire.

BEF, hope you get some more rest and comfort today.

Thomas, I agree, but I don't drink black coffee. So in the summer, after I add the creme and sugar, I put in a few ice cubes to chill it just enough to start drinking instead of sipping. Maybe down to 110-120F

Drew, your parents' "forcing" you to college was the right choice. I have been in manufacturing since high school, for 40 years, and there are so few jobs available due to the offshoring of manufacturing. If I lost my job I have now, not sure what I would do.

Our youth are going to provide the music at church today, and we have a guest pastor (that we know very well). I hope all of you have a blessed day.

Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 7:15AM. Lots of sunshine. Areas of smoke and haze are possible, reducing visibility at times. High 84F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

No sign of the sun as yet today; it looks like it's about to rain, but it's all smoke, not cloud. Pretty thick yesterday as well, and seems like it'll continue as long as the winds come out of the south.

Best wishes for continued recovery to all those who need them.

Glad Lane left you alone, David, and has since left the neighborhood, too.

I was also a product of the industrial arts programs in junior and high schools, and the knowledge and skills gained there have made me more effective not just in jobs where I used my hands, but when working with designers and other engineers who perhaps didn't have much first hand experience in how those designs and drawings would be made. It's a lot easier to write a close tolerance on a drawing than it is to make it, for example, and there are few places where that kind of accuracy is necessary.

Spraying is done, and I was happy to see much less yellow star thistle coming up this year. I think the spraying I've been doing in previous years has killed what was there all the way down into the roots, and I also think the heavy layer of grass clippings left last spring may have prevented a lot of it from sprouting. Some did come back, though, and it got a dose just as it was starting to bloom. The rest were just weeds, that if left to themselves, would cover graveled lots and leave fuel for fires where there should be none.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

i wanted to take shop in HS, but couldnt fit it in with my college prep classes. I did a lot of woodworking at home, while in HS. Made a bed headboard footboard, jewelry boxes, lamps, clock cases for homemade digital clocks i built. I also messed around building electronic circuits. Still use some of the things i made.

Kyle manufacturing people are a dying breed but do not sell yourself short no one and I mean no one can or even cares to do what you do. Education is good but we might have over done college. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians so to speak. We learned the arts sciences business etc but no shop or wood working skills

It was 74° at 7 a.m. and already up to 84°. Forecast is for 97° which is 3-4° cooler than past 2 weeks.

NWS indicates we have a 60-80% likelihood of not getting rain this week. ☹️

No big plans for today. Dry out????
