What's the feeling here about Mahindra? They seem to have some special promos and discounts right now, but I don't know much about their machines versus the others.

I looked at Mahindra back in 2008 before I bought my first Kioti tractor. Not many Mahindra dealers around my neck of the woods.More kioti dealers (3) have sprung up around here in the last 3 years. What's the feeling here about Mahindra? The Max 26XL from Mahindra is made by Mitsibushi Heavy Equipment in Japan. Girlwhowantstractor has one and she says the loader shows made by Ansung in S. Korea but all the other stickers say made in Japan by Mitsibushi. The Max24 should be the same. Mitsubishi is great manufacturer.
The eMax series is made by TYM for Mahindra so you can buy the eMax from Mahindra or the RK24 from Rural King or a TYM branded model but you are still getting TYM Product.
I believe Daedong (Kioti parent) is making the motors for the eMax and Mitsibushi makes their own motors for the Max 24/Max 26XL.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on the motors. Thanks.
One thing I noticed today that I wasn't really expecting to see was rust. Every machine, all the colors. And in places I thought should not show it, like hydraulic fittings and ram cylinders. These were all brand new machines too. I'm terrible at caring for stuff, so if it's rusting in their lots, what can I expect in a few years?
Has anybody considered spraying some kind of clearcoat sealant on these areas when you get them?
There are only two eMax models currently. The eMax 20 engine is made by Yanmar. Not sure about the eMax 22.
And yes, the Max 26XL seems to be a Mitsubishi tractor except for the loader. I have no concerns with quality because of Mitsubishi's reputation.
If folks are interested, I can peek under the hoods at my dealer this week.![]()
Owning a Mitsubishi tractor i.e the Max26XL Shuttle, I is a decent quality Tractor, but in general, there as some rough edges and observable cost cutting. I feel at 80-85% of the cost of the Top brands and having good specs for it's size call, the tractor is a good value for the use I put it to.
I stay out of the tractor wars, but am curious, having seen this mentioned a few times: what are the "rough edges" and "cost cutting" you have observed? Thanks!
