Kioti CK2610 HST with FEL, Rotary Cutter, Box Blade and HLA Grapple
Well, I can finally add a tractor to my profile. I am getting a Kioti CK2610 with Loader, Brush Mower, Box Blade and HLA Grapple Tomorrow, they deliver everything except the grapple which should come in a few days.

I will be taking off the next 6 days to play in the dirt.

Thanks to everyone in these forums for educating me. I look forward to learning more.

Congrats on your wise choice of tractor! Enjoy it. I'm especially interested in your HLA grapple. I have one of their snowplows and its excellent. What model did you get?

It is the HLA RR-GLD 60 inch Light Duty Root Rake w Grapple. It is what my dealer caries and recommends. I have dealt with him for years and trust his judgement. I will gladly tell you what I think of it after I get it - for what that is worth. I have nothing to compare it to.

Well it will take some learning before I accomplish much.

I don't feel I accomplish much with mine. Cut brush and use the bucket to haul around small bush and grass cuttings. A ton of info on this site which gets me thinking but then there are also a ton of different opinions on how to do things which gets me :confused2: LOL I'm sure you'll pick up things quickly!!

I do have a few questions about your choice of grapple regarding it's size/weight for your tractor's lift capacity; especially since you are, IIRC, a novice to tractors. You sacrifice what you can lift/carry, (payload) with a heavier rake/grapple on the end of your FEL. The capacity of your FEL's lift is reduced by the weight of the grapple, plus your load carried in it. The highest weight you can theoretically lift is at the FEL's pins. Your rake choice at 60" with grapple, is over 400#s. It is mounted in front of the pins, so your capacity is reduced even further.

Here's what I suggest. Consider getting the 48" rake and grapple combo at 48" it is lighter, smaller to maneuver around objects, likely just as strong as the 60" unit, (same metal and thickness of the tines, etc.), I suspect, but it does not limit your payload as much, and would likely cost less too.

For instance my GR-20 Log Grapple, made by Igland, in Finland, weighs 350#s off the top of my head, and is much smaller footprint than a rake in width, only 24" or so, but it is also less capacity drain on my DK-40, which has a FEL capacity of around 2800#s! It is intended for logs primarily, which is what I use it for. It's definitely not a rake, but it does what I need it to do, and serves me well.

I'd check what capacity you have, on your FEL; what you intend to do with it primarily, and possibly discuss it further with your dealer as to what he thinks would suit you best. PM me if you want to discuss further.
Also, do you have front mounted hydraulic lines with the tractor to run your fork/grapple? Looks like you will need them...
Hope this helps.

Well i have been busy playing with it the last few days. Learning a lot. Clearing the back woods. I was incorrect - it is the brush hog that is on back order, not the grapple. Probably a 48 inch might have been better but the die is cast. So far, I am happy with it. So here are a few picks.

I am going back out there as soon as the sun comes up. Talk to you in a couple days :)
