My lady friend calls anything, anything she wants and gets irritated when I don't know what she is talking about, and even more irritated when I try and educate her.

Good thing, we are just friends. That would be a deal breaker!

Formica is another one...
also vise grips, channel locks, crescent wrench

Don't get me started on different names for fish...but the one linked below is often referred to as either a "mother in law fish" or a "whoopie goldberg"...

There’s plenty of knockoff channel locks and crescent wrenches that are better than the original. Has anyone found knockoff vice grips that don’t suck? I’ve seen plenty and the release always suck.

Just so you know what you're talking about. John Macadam was the guy who invented laying a number of base courses and sealing them with Tar = Tarmac

If you want to get technical, in the US, apron and ramp are considered the same thing. However, the official term is Apron. Therefore, anyone that uses the term ramp is techincally, officially, incorrect.

Got it, officially incorrect. By, your evidence. I'll let them know.

However, when the word tarmac is technically incorrect, it's not incorrect. Got it.

Now if you could just get people to stop using the word "literally" inappropriately.
