The shear fact you compared this to slavery is so unequivocally off base I’m still having trouble processing this.

Here’s some facts from the front lines. These aliens come here illegally to work (that’s the positive narrative) or to enjoy the benefits of the country without contributing. In many school districts in Texas white kids that come from a good family are unable to attend pre-k unless the child speaks Spanish or comes from a low income family. That’s it, that’s the schooling option. So right there these illegal aliens have access to education my son doesn’t and I pay for it.

They can leave whenever they want, they aren’t slaves nor indentured servants.

Have you ever heard of identity theft? Well here’s a large contributor of this. They use someone else’s SSN to get the job and other benefits that accompany a citizen. Companies may or may not turn a blind eye to it as well. These guys are usually workers too. They bust their butts doing manual labor. The kids our country is putting out are to good for menial manual labor jobs. This is exacerbate by the propganda and liberal parenting of all over.

Truth be told, of these aliens can provide proof of working for the last 10 years or whatever and contributing to the economic, country and taxes I’d be fine if they stay. If I had a manual labor job lined up and needed to hire someone and it was between a white teen or Mexican I’d hire the Mexican more times than not. I would pay him the same as any other race because that doesn’t matter.

Happen to a Ranch hand that works full time for the Doc I know...

A neighbor hired him to build a block wall... said he would be paid upon completion... worked on it all summer on his day off...

When done... the retired UC Berkeley Professors said they were not paying... and if he made any trouble they were going to report him... his English isn't very good.

He went to Doc and Doc said pay the man...

Soon ICE was at Doc's ranch and had two of his employees detained...

Doc was called but the situation was adversarial...

The point of this is Docs employees are totally legal... legal status and Doc pays them on the books... and this was later determined to be the case.

All of this happened because some pin heads from academia tried to screw over someone with limited English... and this was a labor only agreement... no violations of contractor law as the pin heads later tried to use.

Doc built a new fence on his line and the pin head neighbors now suffer because the fence means they have no way to turn around their 5th Wheel...

The demand and time of officials plus everyone else should be punishable...

But, the Pin Heads had a lawyer who asserted they were just acting on their belief of illegal status... after the work was done!

I'm not fond of illegals, there are ways to get here legally. However, this really frosts me!! :hot: If one makes an agreement for pay, then both parties need to honor it, otherwise it's theft. It doesn't matter if one party is illegal or not. If one thinks the other is illegal, then don't do business with them in the first place. But then again, I'm not surprised it was a Berkeley Professor.

Exactly. The fact that it’s a professor at a liberal college is not surprising at all and they are a scum bag. He’s probably the first in line pushing his students to stand up and follow antifa

This doesn't surprise me at all. When I was shopping for trailers I looked at theirs. Total hack jobs those trailers are. They leave no corner uncut. The untreated wood deck would rot out before the unpainted underside rusts out.

This is a commentary on the way the company is ran, not the skill of the workers building the trailers (legal or otherwise).

I wonder how companies get away with this. How do you pay someone without reporting it to the government? I'm self employed and I have trouble getting help on jobs that call for more than one man. If I want to temp hire a friend or family member, I have to decide whether I'm going to pay them cash out my personal (post-tax) pocket or if I'm going to try and go through the hassle of establishing payroll and paying them as an employee, reporting their income to the IRS, and all the paper trails and hassle that goes along with that. I have paid filing fees for a couple of my friends to help them establish single member LLCs so that I can pay business-to-business for their services to get around this problem. I cannot fathom how a big company can pay dozens or hundreds of people with no paper trails.

Would you hire the Mexican if you knew he was in the USA illegally?

Fortunately I’m not in the position to make that decision but Mexicans that are out working are workers. There’s plenty of bad ones just like any other group but this group is hungry in my experience. I would like to see the ones that are contributing members of society be allowed to take the road to citizenship if they choose as long as they are worthy.
