I was injured in 78 so I am well aware of that time period and the attitude of people back then, also the accessibility was pretty much non existent at that time. I too spent many months in a 'Rehab" place and the attitude and care I received would make most people want to die but having the support of my mom and dad made all the difference. Can you imagine the look on the faces when I showed up for an engineering interview? It was priceless many times.. Took me too years to get someone to actually hire me.. You, your wife and people like myself were the ones that broke down the barriers for the people in the same situation today, they have it a lot easier than we did that is for sure..
