Mahindra 6065 PST CAB, Loader w/Third Function, Buddy Seat, Radial Tires.
Hello, we are selling or trading our Mahindra 2555 Shuttle Cab and going a little larger. In our area there are three choices based on nearby dealers.
The Mahindra 6065 Cab Made entirely in India
The Agco Massey 4707 Cab Made entirely in China
& The Kubota M6060 Cab made in Japan and final assembled in the U.S.A.

I've kinda given up on the Massey, it's more money than the other 2 and why would I choose that over the Kubota? Is there something I missed?

The Kubota is a little more money but the dealership is a lot closer. I like the fact that the Kubota might be worth more used, Not as tall for better tree clearance, can be had with wide radial tires and has 4 cylinders. And there is the DPF.

The Mahindra is less money, I'm not sure this carries to resale as they have offered me $25K for my 2015 2555 Shuttle cab w 100 hours and a brand new engine and two years of warranty left. It has has no DPF, weighs 2000 lbs. more and the exhaust is firmly mounted to the cab. It is over a foot taller. I know three cyclinders is fine and I have three cylinders now, but still wierd to me.

What are your thoughts on these tractors from an ownership perspective? Thanks 20180311_121547.jpg

:welcome:
To TBN TCB.

Lucky you, getting to trade up after only 100 hours. Sign me as jealous.

Having a good local dealer is a great asset and the higher resale value of the Kubota is like money in the bank.

Good morning TCB and welcome to TBN and the forum. I've only had experience with Kubota. Bought my M6040 brand new in 2009. Been an excellent tractor, no problems - some times I wish I had a cab unit but never in the summer. It just too nice out in the fresh air and not being in a cabbed hot house. If I want time in a big tractor, a glassed in hot house & air conditioning - I can go help my neighbor with his chores and operate one of his big Case IH tractors.

Tired of that clutch, clearing land. Figured while I was getting rid of clutch it's not that much more to move up. Turbo blew at 90 hours, Mains & rod bearings at 95 hours. Mahindra putting brand new engine in under warranty, gave me a loaner and offered financial trade assistance.

I shopped all these models and ended up with the Massey Ferguson 4707. For me, the price was actually cheaper than the Mahindra and the M7060. The M6060 isn't even comparable with it only having 60 hp and a 8 spd. The Massey is not all made in China; it's a global tractor with an engine designed in Finland, Norwegian tires, Italian transmission, US built Loader, and is final assembled in Aberdeen, Md. It is 3,000 pounds heavier than a Kubota. It also has no emissions maintenance, no DPF or regen. The 3 point lift capacity is 1500 pounds more than Kubota as well and Hydraulic capacity is much higher. The cab is huge and has a buddy seat, tilt and telescopic wheel, and great ergonomics. It comes standard with 2 remotes, and radial tires. It's an awesome machine. With loader, 84 inch bucket, Deluxe cab, 3rd function remote and air seat it can be bought for $44500 in Pa.

The Mahindra is a decent tractor but lacks refinement and does not have a good resale value.

Kubota is a great machine but is very lightweight and has DPF and regens. You need to add alot of options to get it nice (add remotes, rear wiper, radial tires, weights, 12 spd transmission, etc which gets the price of a m7060 up to $47k or so.

Happy shopping

Just curious what you're doing with the tractor since the models you listed aren't really the same size / capacity?

Jeffy,
Not sure the 3560 is in the same league as the OP options. Perhaps just demonstrating big tractor envy or something similar in behavior? How is this little kubota relative to the thread?

Was under the impression the massey was assembled in china, BP, you sure about US Assembly??
The massey could perform row crop tasks, the M Kubota referenced, strictly light duty utility tractor at best. The L kubota a toy in comparison.

Thought I saw a recent thread on TBN wherin a new owner had a boatload of issues w/ a new mahindra 6065?

Its put together in Maryland after it comes off the ship ( wheels, loader, cab, options, etc) most of it is assembled in China at Agco's own plant. But components are built worldwide. The fit and finish is superb.

Wow, your motor went in under 100 hours. They're fixing it under warranty as they should but if it was me I'd look around a little more to get all the options on a replacement tractor. You haven't listed Case Farmall 65 or 75, NH Powerstar 65 or 75, Rural King RK75, Branson 7845 or 8050, or Kioti RX6620 or RX7320. Might be worth checking a few more options out...

rngrry....

OP is in Florida, so many dealer options should be available. Believe that NH is well represented even if Case is not?

I would take a chance on Zetor, good looking tractor, very nice specifications, US Headquarters in Jacksonville.

I saw he said he was in Florida. Google Maps lists 14 NH Dealerships in FL. 7 RK Tractor stores. 5 Kioti dealerships in FL with 3 nearby in GA. So many possibilities.

What prompted my searching was that dang clutch in my 2555 Mahindra and to get more ground clearance. We have been clearing land and I have had some issues pushing stuff over, crossing wetlands and brush/limbs getting jambed up under tractor into linkages, floor, etc. I figured more ground clearance and heavier weight and power shutttle would help.

Armoring the underside of a tractor with 8 gauge or 9 gauge expanded steel is a pretty easy project. Mostly requires bolts, nuts and large diameter fender washers. You may need to weld on two or three tabs, depending on the tractor.

Operationally, never change from forward to reverse in jungle, nor the opposite. A change in direction in jungle jams verdure into the underside.

I like my power shuttle and you would too...
You need to get on and sit in any of the tractors you are considering to get a feel for the size differences, controls, layout, etc...
If you are in wooded areas a cab may be a liability...
IMHO in Florida you need it for the comfort...
My personal preference in that size tractor is NH/Case...Kubota....Massey...
To me it's like 1A...1a...1b...
All are good...
Support after the sale is paramount...
If I had an engine replaced after 100 hours under warranty with Mahindra or any other brand that would sour me on that specific brand...
Good luck and keep us in the loop...

Exactly! I decided that whichever tractor comes back is going to my shop first for some armor.

I went and sat in all three, they all have their strong points that I like and some things I don't like.
