Kubota M7060 or Deere 5075e

I just built a retaining wall with concrete v-blocks that weigh 3600 pounds each with my M7060, the wall is 28 full size blocks and is stacked one layer. It struggled, and surely pushed the tractor to its limits but was totally doable. I was surprised that it was able to do it.. I used no counterweight and I have cast centers and radials.

I'm not saying I don't believe this. But I'd love to see a photo for proof. Your 3pt isn't even rated to lift that much and it's about 1000 lbs more than the loader is rated for. My neighbor has one of these, and he sure can't lift anything close to 3600lbs with it. He tops out about 2-2200.

I can take a pic of the wall, or buy a block to bring home and show you. I had to have the curl fully retracted, and I hung a chain on the backside of my hay spear frame. It was barely able to do but it I was able to set all 28 blocks.

The Kubota M7060 tractor has a breakout force of 5355 lbs, I imagine this is what allowed me to do it.

I've never messed with it like that, and I've also never lifted anything with his while having a good counter weight, which I know makes a difference! Impressive, and I'll have to keep it in mind if he runs into something heavy in the future!

I'm surprised that the Massey 4707 is more expensive then the Kubota and the Deere. When I was buying back in 2021, the Massey was significantly less money.

My goal was to buy the biggest tractor that didn't use DEF that I could get. I started out looking at Kubota and really liked it, but hated the dealer and the price of the tractor. I have a 5065E open station Deere and I really like it, but I didn't care for the bigger cabbed tractor, or the price.

Massey wasn't even on my list of tractors to look at, but somebody on here mentioned it, so I looked them up online. For less money, I feel that I got more features on a heavier tractor then the other brands. The cab is a lot bigger and in 2022 they came out with a new AC system that's really good. Older models had AC issues.

When I bought my 4707, Massey had zero percent interest for 84 months that added $3,000 to the cost of the tractor, so not really zero interest, but overall, a lot less than paying interest over the life of the loan. With zero down, I'm at $654 a month for a brand new, cabbed 4x4 70 hp tractor with the basic 931X loader. I can handle 6 foot round bales with ease.

I wasn't able to find a spec showing a breakout force of over 5000lbs for an 1154 loader. I did find a spec showing it was just over 4000. But in having that loader I don't believe that to be accurate unless it's at the pins. It is able to lift a lot at the pin as I've lifted heavy things tied to the bale fork frame.

I've looked at the Massey. Nice tractors. Around here right now 4707 is $110000.
A Kubota M7060 is $92000 for a 2024, this is with a M32 loader which costs about $3000 or so more than the 1154.
The Deere 5075e is about the same as the Massey.
These are Canadian dollars :).

A 2023 Deere 5075e with 280 hours is about $76000. Seems to be the best thing in my price range right now.
Besides a 2017 4707 at similar price but 30 hours away and no warranty.

Guess I can't say I've actually handled 2000lbs on that loader, my bales wouldn't be that heavy. 4x6 bales not common out here, even the guys making full round bale silage don't make larger than 4x5 for heft and that is using 90-100 HP loader tractors at minimum. I buy the 500kg fertilizer bags since the 1000kg would be better used on a much larger tractor. You might be asking a lot of a tractor that size at that weight of bale. I'd demo the tractor with your bales before buying (5075E or new 7060)

When I was looking at 5075Es they all had the narrow bias tires, versus nice wide Metric on all M7060. My open station has a lot of hours on fat radials and still a lot of tread left. You stay on top of the land when narrow tires cut in and sink. Based on next to no issues on that tractor and local dealership buying another orange one was easy choice.

M32 loader is Alo Quicke in orange, definitely the premium loader over the 1154.

I am impressed with cold start on the 7060, I ordered it with block heater and didn't even plug it in last winter. Always started instantly when I needed it.
Nice tractor . It has always started in the cold, but I do plug it in when it's really cold.

The M32 looks to perform better. And is inline with the 520m loader from Deere.

I wouldn’t be afraid of buying that low houred 5075e at all as long as it doesn’t look like it’s been abused for those low hours. I’ve got 3 5e series tractors all bought used with very low hours, 2018 5085e , 2023 5090e and 2021 5055e . All open stations 4wd with loaders. They’ve all been rock solid and in my opinion built with excellent quality components. Few things I like; the loaders , buckets , cylinders seem to be very stout and heavy duty construction.
The hydraulic system works excellent including the 3pt system which can be very precisely controlled, movement of the 3pt lever a fraction results in the 3pt arms moving a fraction. Another thing I liked was the build of the front axle, one piece cast with planetary out drives. The front axle trunion pivot is very large and robust, important for heavy loader work.
The two 4cyl 5e’s have the 540m loaders and 5055e has 520m , all have been very impressive in lift ability to full height and breakout force. I’d highly recommend loaded tires and just as important plenty of counter weight to put the loaders strength to work.
All three have the 12speed power reverser transmissions which have been flawless.
Seems there’s always a lot of the very low houred 5series for sale which I think helps with pricing. I’ve been told this is do to a huge amount of tractors Deere leases. All in all I’ve been very happy with them and would buy again.

Huge difference in the MF & Deere to the Kubota money wise.

Kubota is a no brainer brand new at those prices. I am not sure if those were financed prices or cash sale, cash sale likely be 6-7k less.

I've noticed that too, for a while Deere seemed to be pushing 5055E with 553 loaders as a price leader, guessing lots leased and returned at end for something new.
