Nope, to has zero presence in the south southeast. Never heard of them until posted here. They aren't Walmart by any means. Wont affect tym in US at all.

Never heard of TYM before tbn. Searched for their local dealers, 2 are motorcycle/atv shops, 2 are mom/pop shops, one is auto sales, and 1 actually says they are a tractor/equipment dealer.

No wonder i never heard of them.

I suspect RK selling them will be good for TYM, they are getting noticed.

RK is probably already outselling TYM USA dealers. Wait until they have tractors in all of their stores.
I searched for TYM dealers within 250 miles of me in northern Ohio and there are 4:
Of those there is a repair shop, a tire shop, and a lawnmower shop. I couldn't find TYM listed at any of those places as either a product, service, or parts. The 4th is a what I would call a legit small equipment dealer that does list TYM as a product. TYM doesn't have a strong presence in this area but maybe they do in other areas of the country. RK is strong through this part of the country but I know they are not a national store.

If RK starts selling more tractors than the TYM USA dealers, maybe TYM decides they'd rather just MAKE tractors rather than worry about selling and servicing them. IOW, TYM owners could end up depending on RK stores for service rather than the other way around. :) Seriously I hope not, but who knows what will happen with any brand?

Seems like if a maker/brand is acquiring other brands/manufacturers/assets, they are wanting to stay around for a while. TYM's recent acquisition of Kukje and the Branson brand at least suggests they're planning to be around for a while. Mahindra probably didn't buy 33% of Mitsubishi because they wanted to get out of tractors, although their sale of their 50% stake in Jinma suggests they did want to get out of the *Chinese tractor* business. :) Smaller brands/makers are inherently more vulnerable to being swallowed up by other companies.

That's what I was saying in post #100. Like you said who knows how this will end up, but it is fun to speculate.

I bet home depot sells more JD tractors than JD dealers..small ones for sure, but perhaps overall more units.

1 thing for sure - if RK were to take over all US sales/service of TYM they would need to do a MAJOR expansion of stores toward the west coast.

I feel for you guys as I own a Mitsubishi that also has no support.

OK, in my case I'm mechanically inclined with loads of tooling so I get along OK'

Also helps that my tractor is older technology in that there is no fancy electronics but it still is a hassle.

My only current problem is tires, for some reason nobody makes my size (9.5 X 18 R3's) and at that closest vehicle tire that would match (285/75R18) is also a rare size, OK I can find 'rice tires' but even that would need new rims.

Real shame as my CUT is at about 1400 hours and still in great shape otherwise.
Also I have FEL, back blade, snow blower and snow pusher blade.

Just want to say, when I was considering my first tractor, I looked at every brand, including Cabelas, but thankfully, never considered any but Kubota and JD seriously. It just came down to 1) dealer network, and 2) resell.

Some were cheaper, and some had more bells and whistles, but I got what I needed, for a fair price, and don’t have to worry about where to get it fixed.
