RNG, does this mean that motorcycles get less attention until Vanagon is done? .

There are a few things that effect the drivability and safety of the van that I want to get fixed in the next day or so, and next week it's supposed to cool enough to paint again. In between I still want to keep working the motorcycle project; I'd like it to be ready for a trip at the end of October. I just learned yesterday that the ignition parts I need may show up in the next week or so, so I'll be going back and forth between the two vehicles as weather, time, and parts permit. :confused2:

Don, did you get a quote on that golf cart rigged out for a non golfer? :D
.

No. I would just get the extra fold down seat in the back instead of the space for a golf bag, nice wheels and a windshield. I also saw on the bulletin board a used one for sale that has been "modified" to go real fast that sounds interesting. Cars won't have to pass me on the 35 mph roads.

What are you putting on your kitchen countertop, is it also a butcher block for cutting?

What does grass look like when it is going dormant? Mine still looks like spring grass. With cooler daytime temperatures in the 60 and 70's maybe it will start to go dormant.

It’s slowing down and getting a yellow tinge in places.

Howard Butcher Block Conditioner. Yes, it is butcher block. It will be for food processing and meals. There is already a butcher block 4' X 22" as part of kitchen counters. But is not close to sink. That's where Air Fryers and other small appliances are used.

I have two islands with butcher block tops, one has a granite block inlaid in one end, that’s where I do most of the cutting and tenderizing.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, now forcasted to go up to 84 instead of only 76. Still should be a nice day.

Drew, safe travels, enjoy the scenery. I remember that hill well....only takes one time if you know what I mean :mad:

RNG, with your talent, the few issues remaining on the vanagon should be simple for you to repair.

Randy, I agree...nothing stock...but it was a sad time in the mid 70's when all the emissions cut power to such an extreme.

Going to take advantage of the nice weather and try to get a painting project started and completed this weekend.

Now that nice weather has moved in, of course due to the arrival of 'fall', seems like a dimmer switch was turned already....still sitting here in the dark, seems like just last month it would be full daylight by now.

Everyone have a great weekend. Prayers sent for those needing and some extras for those with special needs.

It's a little warmer this morning 37°, yesterday was sunny and windy with a high in the low 70's. Today is going to be about the same.

Didn't get much of anything done yesterday, not sure what today will bring.

I have five 22's, two 22 mags, a 22-250, 223. I'm not sure I need a 17 but it was fun to shoot the one my neighbor bought.

RNG... Glad you got your ride home.

Everyone, have a good start to the weekend.
CWB.

50°F and foggy this morning, going up to 75° today. Another fantastic Midwestern Fall day.

Kitchen looks great, Ron. Lots of prep space and room to move around.

We have a bunch of .22s as well. Two handguns and two rifles in .22LR, one handgun and one rifle in .22WMR, and one rifle in .223Rem. I'd love to add a 22-250 rifle, but there are other "wants" higher on the list, which means it's not likely to ever happen at this point. The safe is already starting to get a little crowded.

Wifey and I are heading to Lowe's tonight to get the remaining materials for Deckasaurus. Going to finish the stairs, add some railing and lattice, and it'll be finished this weekend. Finally.

73°f and no rain
Took advantage of the dry and sprayed Milestone on my albizia trees and stumps. Some I cut down with battery reciprocating saw until battery died, hacked remaining with machete creating severely wounds in the bark to spray. By the time I finished it was hot and I was whupped.
Have to replace a leaking hydraulic line on the FEL. I think I have one if fittings match.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

car packed, rain has moved out, time to go. But being patient and waiting for some part of dawn to appear.
Dodging deer at night isn't relaxing and I'm in no rush.
Headed for Warrington, Bucks Co. PA. (just down from the old Holberts VW Porsche LS, aka the long hill where you get tickets at the bottom....)
going to the memorial of one MIL and having lunch with the other.
Switching to long pants and jacket.

Safe travels, Drew

Yes. I only have 1 incandescent bulb and 2 compact fluorescent bulbs left to change out. I have the led's to replace them. But the locations are difficult to get at.

We went all LED when we remodeled. There are two halogen floods still on one side of the barn that I need to change, then we are 100%.
