L4240, l4740, l5040 EGR?

The actual valve is located on the right side at back of exhaust manifold. The cooler is located on the lower left side of engine. It may not impact the operation of engine until it does one day. The valve will stick open and flood the engine with exhaust. Like I said it is a 1min operation to disable the system.

The OP asked if there is EGR on L4240, L4740 and L5040.

Kuboman was kind enough to explain where it is located. Indeed a L5740 has EGR, but is not one of the models the OP asked about.

L4240 does NOT have EGR. Checked the illustrated parts to verify and searched Messick's parts search.
L4740 does NOT have EGR. Checked the illustrated parts to verify and there is not one on my L4740-3
L5040 does NOT have EGR. Checked the illustrated parts to verify and searched Messick's parts search.

L5740 DOES have EGR and clearly called out in the illustrated parts list.

I can certainly be wrong or the documents I'm referencing on Kubota's & Messick's website might be incorrect. Can someone prove me wrong?.. I don't mind as I simply want the OP to have the correct answer to their question regarding EGR valve use on L4240, L4740 and L5040.

Yup you are right, my mistake. I apologize for supplying wrong information and not doing my own research.

DEF is not used on the hp size you are considering. A DPF system is used on current production tractors of that size.

Which is why I am trying to stay away from newer/current models.
Thank you for clarifying that.
