The Clinton annual Chuck Wagon Races. held on the OF ranch There were around 10 thousand people and 5000 horses and Mules and around 10 days of festivities. Including there was a dog or more for every horse trailer parked at designated area of hay field. No mention of any one getting bitten. but the dogs held love feast that several comments were made with no chance for a female not to become pregnant.

Guess time will tell.No records kept as to the pedigree or match made.

Why are guns even part of this discussion? Again conflating one thing with another. "If they ban your pit bulls, next they'll take your guns." How ridiculous. No one's even talking about banning these dogs. Economics will dictate this in the end. Your insurance company will either refuse to insure you, or jack up your rates. Or when your killer dog rips off the neighbor child's nose, you'll spend the rest of your life paying the settlement.

My only point in posting what I have posted in this thread, is to make people aware of the actual facts about this breed. I can't pretend to fully understand why anyone deliberately chooses to own a dangerous animal. Perhaps there's some kind of "rush" or "ego boost" or perceived status to owning dangerous animals. Who cares? and frankly I wouldn't care one iota except for the fact that quite often it's some innocent person--a neighbor, or your grandchild--who pays the price. That quite frankly does make me mad.

Back to the subject of the trbread.... I wish I had control of my dogs bladders. 3 dogs, 2 older, seem to get me up about 3 times every night. The younger one has the small bladder... either that or she just wants to check for deer or rabbits in the yard. :rotfl:

I never said if they come for the dogs, they'll come for your guns. Funny though that it could be an assumption of yours.

My whole point about "dangerous" dogs and guns is pretty much any idiot can own one, and it seems the news isn't very intelligent on reporting facts when both make the news and how it's determined it's news worthy to begin with.

Personally, I've own two American Staffies that came to our home by luck of the draw (didn't want them, like most of the dogs I've had in my life). NOT ONCE have they ever bitten anyone. I've personally known about a total of 9 dog bites on humans, and not one was a "pit". I was familiar with 3 "pits", but they were destroyed by the state due to being bred for dog fighting, but they were actually fine around humans to care for them (put another dog in front of them, they would go haywire). Personally, don't know why you don't put the two legged creatures down as well.

As a civilian, I have what I consider a small gun collection and have been shooting all my life. As a civilian, not one of my guns have been used in a murder, nor has anyone been accidently shot. The only direct deaths that I'm aware of per a firearm as a civilian was about was on 2 separate incidents. About 30 years ago I found out a old friend had been shot by the ex boyfriend of a girl he was seeing (the ex boyfriend killed the girl as well) with a shotgun. Couple of years ago, an older neighbor who I didn't really know shot himself with a pistol because he had terminal brain cancer.

I mention the the above because with all the anti AR and "pit bull" news on how they both bring death and destruction, in my own world it has never happened.

Just as I see a picture of a Sig 220 and the news reporting it as a revolver, I see a picture of a short lab mix and the news calling it a "pit bull". I scratch my head because the news generally isn't interested in reporting facts, it's interested in selling news.

Please don't think I'm that stupid not to relize the potential harm a terrier breed can cause, just as I am fully aware of exactly how dangerours a gun can be.

Pit Bulls should be outlawed and any owner of any Pit Bull that maims or kills any child or adult should be prosecuted and imprisioned!

Just curious - you say you have a small gun collection. How many guns is small collection?

On 10/4 you sent me a PM stating "Siggy your on my Iggy" informing me to have a nice day.

I responding by stating I wasn't certain what you meant by "Siggy your on my Iggy" (I can only guess "ingore list, which would seem contradictory since you've quoted me 3 times after you sent me that private message), yet you still haven't explained what you meant by it via PM.

To answer your question, for myself, a small gun collection would be at least 10 firearms.

So please afford me the same courtesy, exactly what does "Siggy your on my Iggy" mean?

How about the owner of ANY dog that maims or kills any child or adult should be prosecuted and imprisioned?

So, if it's a lab that maims the owner gets a free pass?
