Funny and sad, I've been down south so long, I forgot about the one great thing about living above the Mason Dixon line, animal shelters.

Night and day on the way unwanted animals are treated IMHO.

Plus, you reminded me I'll be having shoeflie pie later this week.

I’ve been up north and it’s night and day difference in the amount of litter, and the conditions the properties are kept in. I think the biggest difference is the high cost of living keeps the trashy people away.

Do yourself a favor, get over yourself or jump back into reality and understand you're on a internet forum. Thread got sidetracked, it happens believe it or not.

Nice word bloviate though!

By the way, you're not a man of your word. Post #84, your own words "my last post on this". That's ok, it's a internet forum, just pointing out the irony:D FYI I was NOT the one that got your thread sidetracked on another topic, thank you.

Okay, I apologize for making another comment in a post I started, I don't know what I possibly could have been thinking. You are a real hoot!! and I think I kinda am in awe. As my grandpa used to say " I fancy myself quite the Bullsheeter, but it is a real pleasure to meet a professional!"

Threads like this one show ignorance in people that you thought might have a clue.. One trained attack Belgian malamute bites it’s handler, lol.

People that defend the proven aggressive behavior of a dog bleed because they or a family member own one are not people capable of a sensible conversation concerning them.

So I put my pants on every morning, make sure I swap the magazines out and they are full of bonded hollow points, throw one in chamber and hope some idiot doesn’t let their aggressive dog near me and I have to decide whether or not it should take a dirt nap or not..

It could be worse. Toward the end of her life, my last dog sometimes couldnt or wouldnt wake me up. A couple of times I would get up to use the bathroom without turning on a light and- oops, what's that squishing up between my toes?

It is a tough, tough call to put down a dog due to quality of life. I kept my last dogs too long and I will never forgive myself. That said, I do not do this easily or without the vet agreeing.

I know...

Kind of like defending firearms because none you own have killed an inncoent person but every statistic says otherwise.

Don't get upset at me if you can't keep your own word. No need to apologize, it's a interenet forum;)

I've learned from my own experiences that no matter where you are at in the US, you have trashy people from Florida to Alaska.

For some unknow reason though, and no, I do not have any real evidence to support this statement only an observation, it seems on average, pets are treated better better north of the Mason Dixon line then south, at least on the east coast.

I know in our own county, my wife and I got actively invovled in the humane socitey (which had no support from it's local governement whatsoever at the time) mainly due to unwanted dogs and cats being killed at the county dump in a makeshift gas box.

Just curious Sigarms how do you define a "trashy person" - maybe you could point out a few (more) examples here on the forum!

So, you say your wife got you involved in the humane society? Were you not able to get involved by yourself? Just curious.
