Dish Network Sneaky Fee - save about $9.00/month

So I have Dish Network for about 8 years (autopay). Log in to do something and noticed on the bill a charge for about $9.00 per month as a "Priority Service" or some such nonsense to get them out here faster if there is a problem. I'm pretty frugal (okay, I'm cheap when it comes to this stuff) and would never have said purposely - sign me up on that. I think the phone company used to call it "cramming", where they or some other third party would just add a few items to your bill, and I probably "said yes" to something without catching it, but I for one would rather keep my $9.00/month and have them get out and fix the problem like a good service provider for services I've already paid for.

We dropped satellite years ago and went Netflix, fraction of the cost, no ads and I get to pick what I want when I want and can stop for a pee break if I feel like it.
Don't watch sport so it is not an issue plus there is plenty on FTATV.

I've never had it, and the only thing that I miss is the local news. I had Netflix for a few months and didn't really use it... the biggest reason I cancelled though is because I don't do autopayments. . Then I tried Prime but cancelled them for the same reason; plus everything that I wanted to watch cost extra.

I won't even let my own bank take my mortgage payment automatically.

When I fell out with DTV I called Dish to see what their rates and terms were. The REQUIRED auto payment was the deal killer. I have been satellite free for many years and don't miss it one bit.

I've had Dish for many years.
Where they TRIED to get me was making me pay for local channels.
When I moved 2 years ago they told me I had to pay for them!!
I went to my account online and canceled local channels and saved $12. a month!
The worst of it is EVERYTIME it rains the signal goes out.
If they were supplying local channels then I would have nothing.
I put up a cheap ($38.) over air antenna and get about 40 channels and have TV when it rains.
