Sorry I thought you were talking about running a splitter.

Sorry I thought you were talking about running a splitter.

Maybe I was not clear as I grabbed a couple of pic of GOOGLE Image and they happened to be splitters....

Its all about whats in circle in this pic... My 1715 does not have this, but I imagine the 1710 and 1720 do have it to run back hoe... Why can I not find anything on how hydraulics power the hoe and adapt it for my needs on the 1715...I have service manual and its very clear about FEL hydraulics work but does not seem to recognize anything about hoe connections/operations...

I know its not a 1715 but its an example of what I desire...

I haven’t seen anything on it either and I have the service manual as well.

I do see in the hydraulic section on agco parts the part numbers are different for the valves between the 1715 and the 1720 but I would have to look at it on my laptop, this phone is not good for looking at diagrams and schematics.

A GC doesn't have the flow to run a splitter. Will it move the wedge in and out, yes, but very slowly. GC size SCUT'S are just not made for it. I used one on my TC45DA and it was barely enough to get anything done, I have since bought a Honda powered splitter, now I split a cord an hour..

I run a splitter and by no means is it fast but I only split about 2 cords a year max. I’ve posted several videos of it for other users.

You kind of miss the point or I probably was not clear, I'm asking how to get power beyond, it not about what implement/accessory I will be using off back of tractor... I only used log splitter as example of capabilities for power beyond.... Maybe I want to control a scraper or hydraulic top link or some thing I dream up like hydraulic winch....What I uses it for does not matter, its all about how do I get it...

The 1710/20 just plumb off of the loader spool for the rear “power beyond” and also an additional “dump” for hoe but you don’t need that for splitter, but possibly some other attachment. All you need is hose and fittings and you could easily have this. I can try and take pics next wknd

Looks to run pretty well to me.. I'm actually pretty surprised how well it does..

I've got the same setup, mine is my dedicated mower- and it stripes the lawn. You might find the Massey mows better than the legacy XL. The loader is definitely a beast. In winter the snowblower is adequate ballast. Moving dirt you'll want something. Here's a 600lb ballast I rigged up using 1/2 a 55 gallon plastic barrel, a Cat 1 ranchex drawbar (walmart.com), some rebar and (6) 80lb bags of quickrete. Whole thing cost about $50-60. I can pick it up and set it down with a quick hitch. Only thing I wish I did was sinknsome PVC into the cement so I could carry shovels/rake.

Going to start my 2x2x1 ft. (4 cubic ft. possibly 600#) ballast box build today... Glad you reminded me about tool holders....
