nice half hour conversation with head of local Ag extension. Office is all of ten minutes away.
Picked up soil sample boxes, and we talked about weeds. And more weeds.
Also got on their email list for classes. One tomorrow night on growing fruit.
Sure going to that.

drippy and grey outside, seems to be clearing a bit, going to change to jeans and get some work done.
Temps dropping during the day, into 40's tonight.

Was able to mow most of the yard last night. Dark comes too soon now. Was very wet also.

55 and rain has stopped, going to 70.

Son is bringing over his Chesapeake Bay retriever today for a week of dogsitting. His dog lived with us for a year and is the reason we got our own CBR, Coconino. I'll be throwing tennis balls and frisbees with both arms.

Good morning! 50˚ raining. Finally got out of the 40's. House temp is staying at 70˚ without heat.
Eric, will that many houses a few hundred yards from you change things? What kind of homes (price range) will they be and on what size lots?
If Drew wins he will have a lot of BFFs. Make sure the golf cart has lithium batteries. (last 5 times longer, Short recharge cycle, 40 mile range and no fluid maintenance and with added gear kit for 35mph speed.)
Thomas, blow dry turkeys in exchange for fertilizer, you have a very interesting trade agreement there.

bought my two winning tickets, had a nice chicken lunch, sweet potatoes and collards, yum.
Too bad so much pork fat in collards but I treat them like ice cream, a treat. Now collards without fat added
are really good for you. It's just that no one locally cooks them in a healthy manner.

think I might grease the FEL and some mowers this afternoon, going to wait until tomorrow for outside work.

69°F and .3 inches rain. Just a soft, on and off rain yesterday to keep everything wet. Today looks to be more of the same.

Likely another putter around day.

Got Ellen’s building moved to here, and successfully hidden behind the big garage. Actually it’s fine, just needs cleaning, it’s a little 8x10 with a lot of her personal stuff in it. I still have to run the cable to the garage and into the box to hook to the breaker.
Up to 64 so far, might not get much warmer, going to get really cool late week.

51 degrees this morning, going for a high of 55 with an 80% chance of rain; mainly after 10 a.m. according to the NWS. Have to go to the DFW Airport this afternoon to pick up my wife's sister coming for about a 10 visit from West Virginia. That airport is not one of my favorite places to visit, even in dry weather. But at least it's not miserably hot this time of year.

A little good luck today. Daughter called and insisted on going to the airport to pick up wife's sister so I don't have to go.:laughing::laughing:
