The SS has brute strength in its favor. The skid steer has forward visibility in its favor. The tractor has 360 visibility in its favor. How far are you traveling with the snow? A SS isn稚 a good tool for traveling any distances.
I知 attaching a picture of the lot again. I marked areas I can stack snow in yellow.

The Toolcat is a bit longer wheelbase than a SS and it has some suspension so it rides smoother. It is pretty easy to run as the controls are beginner friendly. I bought my unit that was used at a school district.

Had a Tool Cat on trial for a week. It is the MOST FRUSTRATING piece of equipment I have ever used! The Arms on the 3Point Hitch are not extensible which, if you could see the equipment you were attaching to, would not be a problem. But you can't. So you do a lot of getting in and out of the cab as you line up with the equipment. This highlights to other problems. The vehicle will not move unless the door is closed and (if you can believe it) the outboard arm rest is down! Infuriating! It seems like a great idea. 60hp, steering both front and rear, PTO and 3PH on the back and a bobcat attachment and third function hydraulics on the front, all with a heated and air conditioned cab. The reality however is a $60K ergonomic nightmare that would need significant user modifications to make it serviceable.

I find anything with a cab is a pain if you need to get on and off a lot. There is a learning curve involved but I do like the controls. The 3pt and loader controls are very precise and I can see the 3pt arms. When hooking up equipment, pressing the work mode button allows you to really creep precisely to the attachment. The arm rest safety switch is a pain (bypass?). The front loader arm tucks away out of the way when not used, unlike a tractor's loader. It has great lights that really light up front and back too. Yes, I miss the nice extendable 3pt lift arms that my TC33D had, but now some of my attachments can easily attach to the front. Some tractor cabs are noisy like echo chambers while this is quiet. It's not a skidsteer or tractor....it is something in between........

Do you use it for snow plowing? How does it perform compared to a tractor or skid steer?

This will be the first year and I will use the same "tools" as I did with the Boomer....rear blade, front Snowsport plow, and rear blower for +2ft stuff. Time will tell if it is better or not. The TC turns quite good in AWS mode but not near as good as the Boomer's supersteer. I have a few fingers that have been cut or squished and they don't handle the cold too good so I'm looking forwards to the cab and heat. The TC is AWD with traction control so we will see how that works too.
