PTO Link Easy PTO Adapter

This is a terrible idea. What if that pin breaks? That type of pin is not intended to be spun at 540 rpm. Let alone if you've got a 1000 rpm range. That pin is intended for trailer hitches. Only bad can come from this design.
If the pin breaks one end of that fancy scrap metal doohickey you paid lots of money for whacks you in the head

It looks like that pin may be the weakest link. I saw 1 photo with just a nut and bolt, I saw another with a spring loaded pin with a black knob and then I saw another with a fancy silver or stainless pin....either way, $400.00 is way too much.

This is now popping up on Facebook. I thought it was neat and something to make my life easier, but not for $400.00. I might go $100.00, but I struggle with the pto and save my money.

Hey, what I do is spray both the shaft and the coupler with some WD40 and that flushes cleans and somewhat lubricates the coupler and shaft.
The rest is a piece of cake.

And my tractor sleeps out in the open.

When storing I tie a plastic bag over the shaft end to keep water and crap off.
And I'll add that my tractor and snow blower have slept in the open for over 20 years.

I grease the PTO spline every 5 years or so. The tractor is kept indoors and the implements are under cover, but face the open side of the shed with the end of the PTO shift toward the opening. Still, in 20 years I've have never had a problem hooking up any implement.

Thank you, I waded through 2 pages of replies to confirm what I always thought as well; of all the trouble I have hooking up implements, the PTO shaft is the LEAST of my issues.

Heck, a new PTO shaft is $300, much less $400 for a gizmo that is expected to be placed on every implement that I have. Come to my farm and add that up...

This is the Bernie Madoff of the tractor world right here.

I have a quick-attach on my tractor and getting the pto shaft from my rototiller onto the tractor was a real challenge. I have weak shoulders and with the quick-attach there just isn't a whole lot of room. The worst was the collar on the pto shaft. Try and hold that back and push the shaft on at the same time! My solution was to remove the spring pushing the collar and install a lighter one. What a difference! It didn't cost $400 either.

Don't know if there is a newer thread on this but I found this using search.
Am also going to look at threads on bottom of page.

I have serious arthritis and a weak right hand so that is exactly my problem too.
I really do wonder if anyone has actually used this adaptor.
Assuming it doesn't break when a 100hp tractor, which is its rating, pops the electric pto on at 2000 rpm.
I'm really interested in this and really wonder what engineering and testing went into it.
It just might be a better mousetrap.
What we have is tried and true and miserable for many of us.
A TBN member used to be a Texas neighbor of the maker of this, going to reach out to him to see if the guy is legit.

I think I would really want return privileges for at least 90 days if I ever bought this...

To me it looks like it will allow the pto shaft to wobble as it is quite loose fitting. I sure don't want more noise on the tractor, especially not the pto shaft. If this thing unhooks at 540rpm and takes out the pto shaft and/or gearbox, it sure ain't worth it. When it comes to ANY power take off, even if it takes 10 minutes to hook up, I want it running true, solid, and silent. Good for them for trying....BUT I'm a NO.
