Kubota M6060 & L2550GST(4wd), W/ Backhoe attch. Mitsubhish MT160D (4wd) :- )
Finally going to take on a new Kubota! Between the M5660 or the M6060- It'll compliment our 91 L2550GST4WD w/ turfs. but I'm confused on any differences beyond HP from the M5660 to the M6060? Putting the R4's on her. FEL w/HD bucket, and a set of forks.

Anyone know if there are some diff's in the two that will sway us up the 2K?

Thanks in advance!

The two big differences are M6060 - 2WD Wheelbase: 84.4 inches [214 cm] & 4WD Wheelbase: 83.1 inches [211 cm],
and Weight: 5005 to 5358 pounds, 3pt Control: position control and top-link draft sensing and available Cab.
vs
M5660 - 2WD Wheelbase: 82 inches [208 cm] & 4WD Wheelbase: 83.1 inches [211 cm] and Weight: 4189 to 4387 pounds, 3pt Control: position control

I see the 6060 has the deluxe seat w/ arm rests also. Thanks! I noticed some little diff's in the Operators station. I need to check the remotes. 5660 has 1 rear standard. Wonder if there was something more. Going to see a couple soon. Just wondered if there was some wow item I missed.

Assuming that you are speaking of the M5660SU.

FWIW, SU stands for Special Utility, which translates into stripper. Correspondingly, it is a cost reduced model.

Aside from convenience/comfort features and a bit over 600 lbs., the most significant difference is the engine.

The 5660 uses the 148.5 CI engine used in the L6060, derated a couple of HP to 50 PTO HP. The 6060 uses the 203 CI engine used in the 7060 derated about 8 HP to 56 PTO HP.

It would certainly pay considerably more than $2,000 more for the 6060 as compared to the 5660.

Keep in mind the M6060 is cheaper than the L6060. At least when I priced them last year. They are proud of the HST+ transmission!

think the 12 speed only availabe in 7060. that option get you 16gpm hydraulics and epto

That is correct. I just went through this criteria when selecting my 7060 and I did buy the 12 spd.

I did this wrong. 8-speed seemed like enough until I got it home. Now I have the rest of my life to regret my choice because, for my uses and cheap nature, I am not going to take a Mulligan on it.

Unless it has changed from the previous 40 series you have to step up to the M7060 for a factory cab
