IMO...It's nothing but an annoying inconvenience crammed down the throats of the majority of Americans twice a year...it's ludicrous...!

You do have a valid point there dragoneggs. However - being retired - my only real concern is - what month is it? The day of the week - hour of the day - - quit being of concern LOOOOONG ago...........

I just hope I make it that far... or is it long?

That's true but I like to find the positives. :laughing:

Living in the PNW, I do enjoy the long daylight hours in the summer when I am outside more. In the winter, I tend to hunker down more, so the shorter days I will accept in trade.

An old supposedly Indian saying: "Only the white man would think they can cut a foot off one end of their blanket and sew it on the other end and have a longef blanket".

Most of mine change themselves. Some others just go back to being right since I never changed them last Spring. The rest are always right twice every day since the batteries died years ago.

Same here. I have an old Regulator wall clock, hand wound, probably 150 years old, and several battery operated clocks that need (a) batteries (b) reset...and an electric in my shop that is never right since the electricity went off last year. What with all the wrist watches, microwave and stove, give me a half a day and we'll be right up and running...or not.

I like the change clock routine, up here if we didn't set the clock back, soon it wouldn't be daylight til 8am and if we didn't spring forward in the spring it would be breaking day 3 o'clock in the freaken morning.

Well fortunately the clocks that matter change themselves. The phones and the cable box. Yes there is the microwave and the stove to still be changed. If I think of it later I will run them back. I don't much care. I don't get up by a clock anymore anyway. Yes DST is stupid. But it is what it is.

One of the clocks I changed this morning at 7:15 now shows 9:11 and I put in a fresh fully charged battery, yet it is according to my wrist watch and this computer 11:19 A.M. somehow I think that clock is destined for the dump.

I use my phone or computer for checking the time. I use the phone for an alarm clock as well. So only the kitchen battery clock needs to be changed. Wife sets the oven clock and we never set any others around the house, those are a waste of time.
