My well was ?$ for drilling plus casing per foot and a little less per drilled foot. Adding cost for pump and tank install.
Who did you use?
I hired Michael's Well out of Statham.

Our rural water district pumps out a deep aquafier. Withou a softner it's really hard on things.

Will your water be useable for household chores and/or drinkable?

Here's hoping he hits a good vein!!!

Prime Pump and Well out of Dahlonega. It was in December of 2015 and was approximately $5K

My water is fairly soft and very drinkable. 1000% better than SW Florida well water.

So not good news. Only 1.5 - 2gpm at 600'. Going to frack on Monday. Hopefully that'll double the output and we'll call it good enough.

I started looking at pumps as I may consider buying and installing myself to save a few bucks on that end.

Think about how you are going to handle installing the pump and <600 feet of pipe before you decide to do the installation yourself. That plus the wire and miscellaneous items are going to add up to quite a bit of weight to handle without the proper equipment.

Aw bummer. Here's hoping for more than that!!!! Gotta think optimistically!!!! Sorry for the hassles you are having.....

Pump will be in the 350' - 400' range. But you're point is still valid. Like I said, I'm looking into it so points like yours are certainly helpful.
