rain has left, warmer than expected 65, big system still headed North.

spent six hours today working on powerpoint presentation for Garden Club, about the food bank veggie project.
Eyes are bleary. Have done it on Word, need to cut and paste into PP, maybe it will import.
Had to keep flushing picture buffer or the pc would hang, odd since it has a large amount of both regular and video RAM.
PC would sit there whirring away, fan on high, outline of pictures shown but nothing inside. Just your everyday clog. I had been carefully saving every few pics, so bailed out and came back, several times.

About an inch of gentle rain, less than expected, too wet to do anything outside, so maybe I'll see what video Amazon has free this month. I always forget to look in there, since I'm already paying for it in Prime I should. I need to look at something other than vegetables.

BL-5000SLX
Costco has it for $1099 plus tax.
My cars fit this model. My son needed the EXT model for his Mustangs. I figured I could make my own extensions if needed. 1" square tubing and some plate steel.
Almost forgot, mine is 120 volts AC. Sons is 12 volt DC. Takes it with him to car shows.

Found a fault with my Uncommon flag pole. Cannot lower it with only one arm. But my current flag has held up for over 2 years. A good record. Most only last about 1 year at best.

Is that The segmented pole that raises and lowers one section at a time? That痴 what I have, but once sand and dirt got into the joints it failed to work properly, but it痴 so light I just pull it out and walk up to the flag and unsnap and fold it.
The original flag was awful, Chinese junk, I bought a US made sewn flag and it lasted over a year before the thread started to rot. I replaced it with another like it. Price went from $25 to $9.99 with free shipping for the same exact flag.

We got about an hour of snow and sleet here, although we were supposed to get all rain. No accumulation as it was 37°. It is up to 49° now and the wind is now gusting to near 30. Expecting 40 + later. 1.51 “ of rain so far.

Yes it is 3 sections. 20’. Never had problem with sand or dirt. It’s over 20 years old.

Got about 2 in of snow/sleet. Been raining on and off all day and ice on everything but not very thick. Lights blinked a few times and went out about 3:20, glad for the gen. Praying all goes well with the Dr appointments. One of my neighbors has a pool and it is still running and open. Wonder if they are still planing to swim in it.
