26 heading to 38...probably get a few flurries today.

Wife went shopping yesterday and nearly finished all she plans for Christmas. I stayed home, other than a dump run and Della hike and swim. Brought in a few wheelbarrows of firewood, and did a couple of chores she requested. Watched Audie Murphy save the day.

Good morning TBN! Some fellows are meeting us at camp on Sunday to get the Kodiak atv. Below is camps weather and not much snow is predicted there, just a daily dusting. With that machine leaving, we are bringing our 6x6 down with us. So much for not hauling machines back n forth! I prepped camp tools and supplies yesterday. It being winterish now sure complicates things.

I have not been on a street bike since.

I had more motorcycles than I can remember, along with a bunch of different dirt bikes. I really enjoyed all of them throughout the years but I’m glad I don’t have one now with today’s drivers, cell phones, distracted or drugged driving. I just need to rely on all the good times from past trips and memories

Glad to be off today, but this coming Sunday morning is the children’s Christmas Party at the FD. My job is to make breakfast, so today I will go over there and precook all the bacon. I will do it in the large gas ovens that we have on large aluminum trays and tin foil. This way I don’t have to get up at 5am on Sunday morning

Looks like Monday will be really cold, so work should be an adventure

Pretty much the same with me. I still have a motorcycle endorsement on my drivers licenses just in case.

I have had motorcycles for over 60 years, I still have a vintage trials bike that I ride around the farm. But laying in the hospital, I made the calculated decision that they didn’t bring me enough joy to cover all that I was missing while I was recovering.
I also found out later that my wife and kids had also made that same decision, and were wrestling over who was gonna tell me. But I saved them the angst by arriving at the same conclusion on my own.

Lots of people showing up today for house maintenance stuff. Me, I have real job stuff that needs end of calendar year attention. SHM on how quick the year went by.

Good Morning
It’s 24° and won’t get above freezing today. Fair skies, but snow likely tomorrow.

Yesterday’s trip went as expected, winds aloft were well over 100kts, fortunately not all on the nose, got a good push coming home, almost made up for the headwind going south.
As predicted, strong gusty surface winds at Philly kept me awake for the landing there.

Got back early enough to get a few errands and chores done, son and DIL brought us some take out dinner, spent the rest of the evening in the recliner in front of the fire.

Today’s first chore is to go locate a buried pipe for a friend. He pushed a metal fish into it so, I can use my wire locator to give him an accurate location, including depth.

After that, I have a few design ideas for 3D printed tools that I want to tinker with.

Not sure about music tonight, we will see what happens.
