Jacks is a good place to deal with, and they discount.

Here is a link to the part, $98.00

Jacks Small Engines Search

It's a little heavy, so it won't ship real cheap.

Thanks for the photos. That is a little more evidence of leakage or seepage than I'd call normal or typical in my experience. However, if I'm in your shoes, I'd keep a careful check on the level of the lube and just watch it. I would NOT be running right out to replace any seals based on what I see there. You have not seen any drip or puddle on the floor, right ?

No. I haven’t seen any sings of fluids coming off the tractor. Minus the whoopsie I had when draining the hydraulic fluid. Big guy. Small space. Thanks for the insight. It reassured me. Next question if I may. Just recently I heard i high pitch, but not really loud whine coming from the front of the tractor when I lowered the arms. That’s the only time I heard it and it was consistent when lowering only. It happened with or with out weight. Well not really weight as I was moving bins of leaves. Good thing too. Freaking snowing pretty good out right now. Any thoughts?

Also what痴 a pinch bucket?

I'm sorry, my shorthand or nickname for the officially called "4-in-1 bucket" type that I have used for many years. Had one on a JD4700 from 2000 to 2011 and have a larger one now on a MF2660. These buckets have an hydraulically operated clamshell feature ("third function") that opens up the bucket and allows you to clamp down on things such as debris, logs, limbs, old posts, etc. I sometimes use it to uproot brush by pulling it straight upward out of the ground (autumn olives which have very shallow roots but grows like crazy.) Very versatile tool.

These pics show the basic closed bucket, a set of teeth that I had made to improve the "first try" capture of debris and logs in the bucket, the bucket when new by itself, and finally the similar pinch bucket on the John Deere 4700. No doubt more than you wanted to know ...

No way! What else am I going to store in my brain. 4n1 or grapple I understand now. But as my Drill SGT. Used to say, “if you don’t ask the stupid questions, SHUT THE F*** up. Everyone already knows you’re stupid.” Appreciate the info and perspective. Unfortunately you have fed the wild animals and I will probably be back for more info, advice, help. Thanks
