Yes it is 3 sections. 20’. Never had problem with sand or dirt. It’s over 20 years old.

Mine is 5 segment 25 feet, but honestly it’s too flexible at 25, I keep it at 20, looks more proportionate there. Mine is aluminum.
At 25’ a 72 mph gust did this last spring. They sent me a new section. IMG_0170.JPG

That does not look like my flag pole. Mine is aluminum all the way into ground. Sets in a 4" plastic sleeve. Aluminum pipe sections have close to 1/4 walls.

Now I need to go out and measure to see what pole I have. Ordering parts says that 3 sections is 16' and 2.25" diameter.
But not today. It's cold and still snowing.

Temperature eventually went from 23 to 67 degrees today. And my wife's doctor appointment only took about 2.5 hours; a new record short visit for a chest x-ray, blood test, and prolia injection besides the face to face doctor visit.:cool2:

What a surreal encounter, RNG. Most of us have no idea what it's like to be left afloat with so many unanswered questions. Thanks for giving us a peak. Of course, you know we're all pulling for you.

Ditto.

RNG, my wife and I talked a lot about your situation today and how it is similar but very different than the big hurricane/flood situations in the east. We are very concerned for you.

Rained all day and stayed in the 30s, but no snow or ice.

Decided since such a nasty weather day, to try the Social Security office to get their misspelling of my name corrected on their records.

- 45 minute drive
- 26 minute wait at SS office, then told must have a birth certificate in addition to driver's license...opposite of what I was told on phone and read on their website.
- Learned that the DMV can provide birth certificates...15 minute drive and walk...36 minute wait...$14 fee.
- Back to SS office...only a 9 minute wait...I now believe that all is corrected once they run their batch processing tonight.
- Got jerked around by the system, trying to correct their typo, but everyone I dealt with was super polite and nice.

At least their was a fancy biscuit restaurant across the street. :)

Then went to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts...haven't been since the kids were young...very stimulating, especially the 2,000 to 5,000 year old pieces from Greece, Italy, Egypt and Turkey. In the American sections, they had a fully restored bedroom from one of Rockefeller's houses in New York City, itself a large room with museum equivalent art, ceiling and wall painting, jeweled lamps, and furniture.

Mine is aluminum all the way also with a pvc sleeve in concrete in the ground. The white is an optical illusion. IMG_0180.JPG

Good evening all. 29F this morning, clear sky, calm wind. More wind today, sky stayed clear, High temp was 67F. Kitchen cleanup and dog sitting to start the day, then outside to mow, almost finished before lunch. Nap time after lunch then could not get started again :(
RNG, thanks for the post. My BIL folks went through the 73 and 93 Mississippi River floods, 73 got to their door step, 93 had 4 feet in the house. They were were in their 70's so just sold as is and moved to town. I think they had lived at that location for about 30 years. Like you said, wait to see what happened, then seeing the extent of the damage really took the "wind out of their sails".
Billie glad your visit to SS office went as well as it did. :drink:
Farmer you have back up genny for the birds?
PJ talk to a friend in St Charles county abiut 10AM they had 3" snow on ground and 3" more expected.
Prayers for all.

22 right now and steadily snowing...about 3 or 4 inches, so far. High in the low 30's and we expect another 3" or so...
