I really like the Tundra’s. Grandfather - in law has one, his is like a Cadillac inside. If I was buying a brand new pickup right now, it would be the Tacoma or the Canyon for me.
The Tundras fall into the same boat as the Nissan Titan (which also has a Cummins option), there’s a time you need a 3/4 or ton truck to hold the weight and stop the weight easier.

I was hoping to see a 3/4 ton Tundra debut, give it a year to work out the kinks and possibly buy one. Just couldn’t wait any longer. The Tundra had plenty of power, just felt like it was pushed around some with 8k+ lb loads.

I believe the Nissan has the 5.0 liter v8 cummins. The new dodges have the bigger 6.7 cummins an in line 6 cylinder. They upgraded from the 5.9 because of the emissions restriction imposed for todays vehicles.

If there is one thing I don’t care for it is the giant RAM on the tailgate. Mine does not have it. I would like a dump trailer, saw some real nice ones on Tractor Time with Tim’s you tube channel.

Yea, that ultimate dump is enough to make me drool!

In looking through the maintenance schedule, I was surprised to see 15k mile oil change intervals. Plan to use Rotella Synthetic when I change. Any thoughts on the interval?

15,000 miles or six months, whichever comes first. Mine is changed every six months.

I don't know how many miles you drive. I only put about 12k miles on mine a year now, so I just change it spring and fall
