Good morning to all! Low went to 26°, up to 47 for the day. No precipitation is expected until Thursday evening into Friday. No other predictions given except "good chance of snow". Maybe a better forecast as we get closer.

Drew, good luck at the dealer. Christmas coming early?. Sounds like it's a beautiful machine.

RNG, maybe today would be the day for you to return home...I hope so. When you wrote that the Sherriff officer told you the road was open, do you think he was giving you a hint that you could make it there without any confrontation?

Thanks for the well wishes for tomorrow.

Hope everyone can stay warm and dry in the snow and weather in the east.

Have a great day, prayers sent out

Drew, good luck at the dealer. Christmas coming early?

yes, actually. ;)
appt for tomorrow cancelled, Bush Hog reverse rotation 7 foot tiller not in.

on and off rain, not very motivated to go outside.
went to Ram dealer, expressed my concern I got three recalls in the same day's mail last week...two reflashes of the computer and one
new tailgate latch. Pretty sure this will be the seventh time they have reflashed/updated the internal computers; tech said there were two main ones.

To bad on the tractor front.

On the RAM, I got the tailgate one done.
As far as the air bag flash not sure if I am going to bother with that one.
Reading on it, it just activates the side airbags in an easy tip.

Don yes the plant based diet worked well on getting rid of gout, however you said one time about it being very hard if your wife does not support you in your diet. Mine does not, and hates the diet. She does not feel well eating starch, and we are already making a special diet for the boy so my diet was a constant source of little stresses between us. Because of this I was never able to do the diet as well as I should and am now off of the diet for some time.
The study was done by a major medical school and said that gout was more likely in people of higher IQ. Don't remember much more as it has been over 20 years. My Dr told me about it an I think looked it up. O and fasting is not a good thing for people with gout, it often brings on an attack. Ed

I have had gout for years and learned quite a bit about it after finding an exceptional rheumatologist. One thing most don't know is that there are 2 kinds of gout, traditional uric acid caused gout that can be helped with diet, and pseudo gout that is caused by calcium crystals an only helped with drugs.
I have both types, starting about 25 years ago with pseudo gout, which none of the docs I went to knew anything about and treated me for uric acid gout. The only thing that helped was prednisone, allopurinol was a waste of time as was diet. I later developed uric acid gout and found that the latest favored drug for it is Colcicine, which is a great laxative but did nothing for the gout.
Then I was sent to different rheumatologist who finally did the necessary testing and figured out what is going on. He put me on a new treatment of Krystexxa infusions and my uric acid is now <.02% and in the 6 months I've been getting it I've only had one flare which was pseudo gout in a finger. These infusion are every 2 weeks and very expensive if your insurance doesn't cover them.
The biggest problem I have found with being a gout patient is that most medical people take it very lightly and know very little about it and really don't care.I was very lucky in being sent to the guy I'm seeing, problem is he is getting ready to retire and selling his practice to a lady Dr. from Canada. I just hope he can get her up to speed in the 6 month transition period.

Good Morning!!!! 50F here in Chico, CA. Mainly cloudy. High near 60F. Winds light and variable.

Still no word from the sheriff's office on lifting the evac orders, other than they're trying to give 24 hours notice, and that only seems to push out the return date by another day. I suspect that the Disaster Area declaration has put too many cooks in the kitchen, and now the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. As far as jumping road blocks, they've already killed one guy for doing it, and much as I want to go home, I don't want to that bad.

Hope things go smoothly for you tomorrow, Ted, and you get the fix you deserve. Enjoy that floaty pain free few minutes when you first awake from the anesthetic; it won't last long enough! If you have a tendency toward nausea on awakening, tell the anesthesiologist and they'll give you something to prevent it.

Check out Tractor Supply's Cyber Monday sale; lots of discounts, lots of free shipping. I was hoping to find a 3-point disc, but none of their offerings got good reviews. Anyone have a recommendation?

Hope the week gets off to a great start for everyone!

30°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 33° today.

We got a whole lot of nothing from that storm last night, save for the incredibly loud howling wind that kept us both awake most of the night.

Had another fantastic Thanksgiving this year. More food than humans will ever need, and it was all delicious.

We spent most of Friday sitting around watching movies. Haven't done that in a long time.

The Wife's brother came over, and spent a couple of days with us. When she was taking him home Saturday afternoon, she called me and said the front end on her Sorento started wiggling. Checked it out when she got back home, and nothing seemed immediately amiss. Possibly a broken belt in one of the tires. Going to have a local shop check it out.

Happy (belated) Anniversaries to all those celebrating.

Happy (belated) Birthday, David.

Best wished on your return home, RNG.

Back from Dentist. Relaxing and waiting for the numbness to go away.

For those with EGO chainsaws do you have the 14" or 16" and which one would you recommend?

Mrs. can hook up Fisher Minute Man plow quicker than I can :confused3: when it comes to nasty weather driving slow and steady as they say. ;)
Sure would be nice if you were to send some of that 50 degrees dats our way. :)
