Yes. In fact, when I was looking at them, back in 2001, a local landscaper had two 425's and one of their crew let me have a real good lookover of the machine and showed me how it worked. I'd only seen them on-line before that. I was sold! They also had a 1430. There's a 425 west of me 5 miles. And a 2425 9 miles SW of me. So there are a few. However, the only other owner on TBN I met was PJ. He lived in Montana, had a 425, and we struck up a pretty good on-line friendship, he and his wife and their moms were passing through the area, and they stopped by. Our wives hit it off nicely, and a couple years later we visited them in Montana for a couple days. PJ passed away a couple years ago. I still talk to his wife a couple times a year. I've also met a few other TBN members in person over the years.
As for your South Bend lathe..... :thumbsup:
There was a time in America when pretty much every single person in the country used something on a daily basis that was made in South Bend, Indiana! Not so much anymore.
