tc29 issue with rear wheels/hydro

Pushing dirt/mud lately and useing differential lock alot due to muddy conditions. Noticed rear wheels were not locking up as they should be. Sometimes right wheel would not lock up then noticed front wheels spinning but eno rear wheels spinning as if rear wheels had no power to them. What to look for/inspect?

If I understand the Owner's Manual correctly. If one rear wheel is spinning with the differential lock engaged one should lightly tap the corresponding wheel turning brake to disengage the differential lock.

understand what you explained for one wheel with no power while locked but what about when BOTH rear wheels had no power to them?

Dave- I am definitely no expert, but if it happened to you; it could happen to me. Have you tried to disengage the differential lock in 2WD? Somewhere in my corrupted memory banks is some vague recollection that differential lock while in 4WMD could bind up the drivetrain. There are far more experienced and knowledgeable owner/operators who really have an answer. I hope they post.

Put it against something solid and test in low range. Sometimes it takes a bunch of s turns to get the diff lock to pop free.
How does it pull in 4x2 w/no diff lock?

differential lock pedal seems to move as it should; it seems to engage only on occasion. I noticed having difficulty moving on muddy/icey dirt and noticed only front wheels were spinning/pulling. The rears were not spinning and engaging diff. lock did nothing. Then, randomly, rear wheels would get power and spin, differential lock would engage and both rear wheels would spin, then with lock engaged, right rear would stop spinning and only left would spin, all the time fronts worked as they should. I have tried 2 wheel, in all ranges; seems to be no issue but did not put tit under load, used 1/2/3 ranges in 2 and 4 wheel. I parked it if there is an issue. Did not want to damage anymore if I have an issue or something just was not locking up as it should from cold temps. ( about 19 degrees today, last time I used it before this issue it was 50 degrees.

BE sure to check your tire pressure in those rears to be sure it's up to specs. I thought I had that problem, but it turned out that one of my tires was low, and the wheel was spinning, but the tire was not. From the seat I can see the tire, but not the wheel itself. Threw a bead and lost all my ballast. Cost plenty to get it refilled. I know. Dumb. But be sure about the tires...

My TC29DA had an automatic engage overrunning clutch to drive the front wheels. I'm wondering if that might be part of the issue on your tc29?
