So don't buy one.

I bought one with the intention of flipping it last year but ended up letting my daughter have it. They ran it 100 hours straight after the hurricane. My SIL built a small shed to put it under that caused it to overheat in the daytime and I was afraid he killed it. After pulling it back out where it could get more air it fired back up and kept on trucking. They reported getting about 12 hours per 8 gallon fill up. They have a 1600 ft all electric house with a well and it ran everything but the AC.

It is a cheap china honda clone engine with a brush type generator head.

Don't worry, I wont. Seems like a good deal but honestly I think getting it warranted would be a nightmare if you had trouble.

Thanks for your post JD, good to hear another positive review. I ordered mine as an upgrade to my Troy bilt that I think is a 3550 watt. I'll donate that one to my brother who happens to be my neighbor. Our street was without power for two days with the latest ice storm that hit our area. I won't feel as guilty next outage for being the only house that had power and didn't have to throw out all their food in the refrigerator.

I had to put the generator on my ebay watch list and kept checking and found it for $699. which was still a good price.
They only drop the price for a few hours it seems and you have to be ready.
I like mine and the ad doesn't say but it came with a propane hose with tank fitting and an assortment of plugs that fit it.
Maybe $60-100. value!

Generator showed up Wednesday. I only had time to set it up, add oil then fuel. It started right up, I'm impressed so far.
