caterpillar and case tractors not discussed?

I've operated Cat loaders from 936 to 992 size in all the series. I always thought Cat was the very best.....until I ran the newest Komatsu's.

I've operated most of the CAT loaders through the 988, and I liked them all. But, I've never run a K-mut loader, they look nice though.

Long ago I ran an Allis Chalmers loader for a time, it was actually a good reliable loader, I liked it too...

Keep believing that,you will go far or spend to much of your own money doing the opposite.I always get a kick out of brand loyal brand blind mentality.No matter what brand you to decide purchase you can always have issues.Over my past 45 plus years I have owned Massey,kubota,Kioti,John deere,Allis,ford tractors some good some not so good.

Don't get me wrong, Cat is still nice. And they have good support everywhere. But this last summer I ran brand new Komatsu WA250 and a WA500.
The hydrostatic trans in the 250 was really nice. It was way faster (response/quickness and road speed) than the old models.
But it was the 500 that really blew my mind. It is so quiet in the cab that unless you look at the gauges you wouldn't know it was running. Very comfortable, smooth controls, tons of power. Awesome LED 360* lighting. Never had any emission system or regen issues (which I can't say about some of the Cat 988's I have been around the last two years) and I love that you have a choice between steering wheel for roading and joystick steering which i prefer.

He is in New York, and the municipalities are obliged to buy from the state purchase agreement which is a Statewide bid process where are the various vendors bid yearly or every couple years to see who is going to supply the tractors, trucks, computers, fuel, waste disposal, etc, etc, etc.
Caterpillar/Case most likely won the bid for whatever size tractors it is that they are buying.

They have a choice of going out for bid or they can buy of the state contract bid sheet.
Bids are a funny critter at times, depending on how and whom writes the specs one line can tip the process towards
a desired manufacture quite easily.

Cat didn’t sell its ag line to AGCO a few years ago - it was in 2001. However some Cat dealers had got into ag big time so AGCO kept the Challenger name to sell through those Cat dealers. So Challengers are Massey-Fergusons. AGCO also owns Fendt so there is commonality but they keep the Fendt line separate as super premium.
