Buying Advice New Tractor Help - Kubota B2601 or Deere 3025e

Yes, many times at extra cost.

I think the loader attach system is an overblown concern. How many front end accessories are there to realistically be had? Really just a grapple and pallet forks for 99.9999 percent of us. So an extra 50 bucks for each attachment to be Deere compatible. Some makers like Artillian, make their stuff specifically for Deere and you get an adapter for other brands.

Between the 3025e and the B2601, I'd certainly "live" with the Deere system. That said, I would (and did) take my L2501 over the 3025e, but OP disallowed other considerations. So...maybe the extra $100.00 for two FEL attachments would be a deal breaker for OP....

I still don't get the B2601 bring compared to the 3025e. It's like comparing a Ford Ranger to an F250.

You simply can not compare the machines, the B2601 is an entirely smaller, lighter, weaker, lower working class of machine.

It's an absurd comparison that I can not wrap my mind around.

The B2650 is a machine that really punches in a weight class higher than you would expect on paper. It's truly a beast in sheep's clothing. I've been doing insanely hard labor, track loader work for 300 hours using my Bigfoot B2650 and at the end of each day it looks at me as I'm closing the doors, smiles, and says... "Thank you. May I have another?". It's been 10 months of beating on this thing and you just can not stop it.

That's good to know, I'm thinking about a cabbed 2650 or the 3350. Do you have a mmm?

Deere's "proprietary" system is supported by most makers of things you'd buy for your FEL. I dont think you'll have a problem needing to buy things direct from JD.

My experience with it is you must pay a premium from the dealer or wait till someone custom makes it to fit because at thier price. there is almost always nothing for sale used when you want it, need it or are ready to buy it.

I would recommend anyone going green get the SSQA from the start and save themselves money in the future.

IIRC Rock Crawler has over sized rear wheels/.tires on his B2650 such that a MMM will not fit. He uses a RFM...I think.

The biggest thing too remember between the two is the 2650 doesn't have the emissions crap and the 3350 does.

Correct. A mid mount mower was originally in my plans, until I learned that the install/removal sucks, and that a rear finish mower actually mows every bit as well yet can be backed under trees or shrubs and can be put on or taken off in about a minute and a half. Oh, and you can almost buy a rear finish mower and a rear brush hog for the price of a mid mount. At the end of the day I could not find any way at all to justify a mid mount.

My tires are the oversized optional tires from the B3350SU build, and as such the tires on my machine are 3 inches taller and also stock out 3" further vacate of wheel offset and tire width increases, and I added the 1.5" wheel spacers behind them to increase the width even further. My rear width is right at 61", massively wider than a standard B2650/3350.

The wider and taller tires also hold more gallons of Rim Guard, so my rear tires are around 400 lbs each in fluid.

Pictured is the stock wheels and tires being held beside my oversized. Then a couple pictures to represent the massive width/girth of this build. The stability is out of this world. IMG_20180109_165259199.jpegIMG_20180109_165443888.jpegIMG_20180109_165404058.jpegIMG_20180313_165648811_HDR.jpeg

That is a great looking tractor. Thanks for the info. I already have a 5 ft bush hog and finish mower, so I guess I could do without the mmm. If I go this route I will get rid of my zero turn in the process. I see you are in the Pittsburgh area. We have a project going on there in the East Liberty / Squirrel Hill section till March. Matter of fact, I'm going back up after New Years. What dealer did you get yours from?
