White 2-65, Kubota B9200
Hi all,
I'm considering selling my B 9200 Kubota, for something a little bigger.

My requirements are a little different then some here.

Preferably shuttle transmission
4x4
Q/a loader
Gauges would be nice, but minimal electronics
Minimal plastic i.e. steel fenders, hood etc.
Ability for a front mount snowblower.

I figure this should get me something in the late 90's? Which I'm fine with.

Just trying to get an idea of some models to be on the lookout for for.

Heavier tractors are constructed on larger frames and longer wheelbases. Heavier tractors are built with thicker steel to withstand greater stress. Heavier tractors have larger diameter wheels/tires, increasing ground clearance. Heavier tractors with large diameter wheels/tires have more tractive power pulling ground contact implements, pushing a loader bucket into dirt and pushing snow. Larger wheels and tires permit heavier tractors to bridge holes, ruts and tree debris with less operator perturbation.

The current Kubota model is the L3560, one of Kubota's Grand Ls. I have one.

Predecessor model was the Kubota model L3540. Prior to L3540, L3430.

These are the heaviest Kubotas with 30 to 37 horsepower.

Mid-PTOs to power front snowblowers were optional.

Cabs were optional.

Slightly lighter L4701 has minimal electronics but omits mid-PTO and all are open station.

And all of those are fairly electronics laden which the op isn't looking for.

The Kubota L3x30 series is a bit simpler and still offer a mid PTO option, prior to that is the L3x10 series.

Sounds like a L3430 would fit your needs pretty well and was offered in both a 8x8 synchro shuttle and a 12x8 Glid shift (GST) version. The loader capacities of the L3x30are better then the L3x10 tractors and also more likely to have a SSQA already.

Your location as part of your T-B-N PROFILE would be helpful in replying to your snow related question completely.

Have you considered a specialized snow push box in lieu of a front snowblower? Airports use snow push boxes to clear runways.

Location updated. I have thought about pusher boxes, but I have a 7' snow bucket on my S250 Bobcat. It's works okay, but I'd like to get away from snow banks, as it's always windy around me, and bigger banks equal bigger drifts. I'm also looking at a snowblower for the Bobcat, but they seem hit or miss as how good they work. My old boss has a b7300, with front mount snowblower, and that thing is unstoppable. Wet snow, powder, it doesn't matter.

There's a L3130 gst about 4 hours from me for $10,700. It looks good but the seller is a tractor jockey.

Are there any 90's tractors worth considering?

Any particular reason for looking for 90's tractors? I'm not seeing much advantage over something like the L3x30's. Simplicity wise they are about the same and typically have some better features/ergonomics plus slightly better parts support.

Aside from that, yes there are decent 90's tractors, the Lxx50 series were decent and there are some L3x00 that were available with mid pto.

Your chance of finding a ONE OWNER, inside stored tractor thirty years old is slim.

Multiple owner tractors often have hit/miss maintenance after the first owner. After the second owner.........

Outside stored tractors always have the possibility of rodent damage to wiring as well as rubber deterioration issues.

I'm okay with not finding a cream puff. Neglected I can handle, tortured I'll avoid. I repair heavy equipment for a living.

The 90's tractors look a little more durable with less plastic on them. Maybe it's just my observation.

I used to have a b2710, I liked it but it was used to load salt and was super rusty.

I also used to have a MF2200 industrial. Similar to a 135. It had a loader, was gas. Around 40hp. It was a great tractor, but terrible in the mid and snow.

All in all, it's more of a toy then anything. Light landscaping, snow removal if I find a blower. Occasional projects at my mom's house.

Sounds like the B9200 is not far from your specs. Why are you replacing it.

Might want to consider a B2150 but they are not easily found as owners keep them.

You will need to move up to the L series if you need 30+ PTO HP.

I do like the the tractor, but it's only 22.5 hp.

I miss the size of my old Massey. The White is useful, but not for rototilling a garden, and it doesn't fit on my tilt trailer.
