These are commercial grade openers. I paid somewhere around $650 each. In a visit with my supplier he offered to take them back and get me two more. Mutually we agreed we can't agree that the problem would be fixed....

This is a pic of mine, it is a commercial grade also that lifts a 12x24 ft insulated steel door that is 3" thick. Notice the little box on the perforated angle iron mounting bracket? It is slightly above the opener unit and has 4 wires connected to it.

That is what changes the frequency from the troublesome 3** the opener puts out, to the friendly 2** frequency which is compatible with my radio and 20 fixtures with 6 tube T-8 florescent lights and supposedly LED lights. It is a LiftMaster product sold and installed by my door company out of Ames Iowa.

If those lights are interfering with FM radio too, they are definitely the problem that needs to be corrected. Unfortunately LEDs can also be problems, but I would start there.

Yeah, ironically my electrical supplier said he's encountered problems with LED but hadn't with flourescents.

LED technology is moving very fast. It's definitely the current best choice. In my case it's the ballasts. So my conversion will eliminate them.

Richard,
Ask him if he wants to sale it.
hugs, Brandi

I tried to buy it. I don't like borrowing. He wouldn't sell.

It had a bearing going bad and needed the hitch rebuilt so I fixed those things in payment for using it. He scolded me. :)

FYI, when we converted over we got our bulbs from these guys. Happy with the price and service. We did have issues and they were responsive.

Also, if i remember correctly you have to check the ends the bulbs go in. don't remember why, but we had to change one end the bulbs went in. Conversion was easy took longer than I wanted, lot of over head work. Don't regret doing it.
