M7040 glow plugs

I have a 2009 M6040. Below 32 I rotate the key to the on position. The single glow plug comes on for X time and then goes off. I rotate further and it starts right up. My Kubota has one glow plug. Located somewhere on the fuel intake manifold. I have never tried going past glow plug for an immediate start. It works great the way it is - every time. Even the time I started it at -20F. What idiot is out on his tractor at those temps.

Fruitcakesa - NO, that's why they make down insulated clothing - Eddie Bauer & Alpine Design. I just don't like the cab idea. Enjoy the openness and fresh air too much. Besides, I don't use a rotary cutter or other dust raising implement. Can you believe - I have 80 acres and no reason, what-s0-ever for a rotary cutter. Its almost 100% Ponderosa pine and bunch grass here. A dab of buck brush - the deer take care of that.
