Big difference between using compression release and not using it. Lots of grey smoke, just no black and the glow coil flame does not seem to make a difference either. Have cracked the injector lines more than once. Guess I’ll do the head now. Grew up running JD so I thought this one would be a piece of cake��
Well back to an earlier post in this thread, it probably is low compression since everything else seems to be in working order. Have done a compression test yet?
If all the reasonable alternatives have been explored, then another alternative could be - the injection pump is out of time. 360 degrees out would inject when the valves are open, for example. Was the pump ever removed?
Drain that tank and Napa has the Fuel Filter. Check the valves. Something tells me it's the fuel. The comment of being a big difference between the Decompression and Not makes me believe that. Now If it was mine I would remove the exhaust so you blow everything out esp. if there maybe water in the fuel. If it hits put it back. But blow it out with the air compressor. If you have Air and then your know its clear...
