Not worth your life to stop on a highway and run into traffic for a ladder. I once lost a bag from the back of a cycle in a rainstorm on I-94 and stopped to go get it. Scary!! And that ended up on the shoulder.

CalTrans' maintenance workers are told to run across the pavement clear to the center divider, or to the other side of a 2-lane road, grabbing an object from the middle of the road without slowing much. This is safer, less time on the pavement, than stopping at the object and looking back to judge traffic before running back to the shoulder. Also, the oncoming motorist can better predict how to avoid hitting the guy in the road if he is moving continuously in one direction.

Just curious; since many companies put a property identification of some type on their tools and equipment, does the highway department contact these ladder owners and give them a bollocksing for creating a hazard through negligence, if they can?

I’ve seen plenty of stamped property of whatever that was no longer property of whatever. Or they could claim it was stolen. How would you prove they were really the ones that lost it?

First pic looks like rolls to me.
Second pic, everything flat.
Weird.

Mine came rolled, and stacked taller. L3710 couldn't pick them.
Loaded the heck out of dad's trailer.

It's all squares on pallets. You can get it either way. The pallets are for people that dont have the machinery to move the big rolls.
