Yeah, but all they'd have to do is come to your front gate and tell you their coming in. You can't stop them. That law says you can ask them to identify themselves, for whatever that's worth. But you can't stop them.

Then the next problem would be having enough money to build a fence to stop them to solve the problem to keep them out.

In Indiana, you have to make an effort to recover wounded game. However, you also have to ask permission to enter private property. And if the owner says no, you're out of luck. So then you call the DNR and report that you are tracking a wounded game animal, and it went on private property, the owner says no to entry. The DNR guy or gal will come out to the property and ask the owner. If owner still says no, you're still out of luck.

And that's one of the reasons many people choose to live in zoned areas, HOA's, etc... they don't want a 10,000 head hog operation going in next to them, or a dragstrip, or a trailer park, etc...

As they say, it all depends on who's ox is getting gored.

Although a property may have restrictions due to the type of zoning, zoning is something completely different than a HOA IMO.

Personally, I'm not agasint certain types of zoning for uses of the land and why people live there.

Besides that, "wetlands" comes to mind LOL

I've been known to have some friends over and go through 2-3k of ammo in one session. You'll find it amazing that when you shoot a lot on your property, people don't trespass (I don't even have no trespassing signs up and one access road still has the gate down). Did have some ATV's come over though one field because some barb wire was down, but those riders now know they aren't welcome and I haven't seen them since.

My neighbor did ask me one time if a buddy of his could come through one night for some coon hunting, and because he asked, I said yes (good neighbor anyways).

Can you then have the owner charged for animal cruelty, animal neglect, etc....?

I guess my question opens a can of worms: When is hunting cruel? And who is responsible for that cruelty?
IMHO: Drop prey on first shot:- Not cruel.
If not first shot, but you finish off prey as soon as possible, I'd say: Not cruel, well I'd say it was "being humane as possible." O.K.
But if you, or others that you inform, know an animal is suffering, and they don't intend to fix it or finish it, or let you do the same, well that's just cruel. Book 'em Danno!!
