That's a nice grill guard you made there. Hopefully it will save you buying a slightly overpriced radiator because at $715 dollars you won't be any too kind to us here on the forum if you pop the thing.

Probably my biggest gripe with Kubota are their super high parts prices. I work on BMWs for a living but feel Kubota's prices are higher.

I wouldn't ever buy another Kubota anything again except parts or a used piece cheap.

Here's a photo of my 2012 piece and the paint is fading beyond repair, keep in mind this tractor stays inside unless I am using it.

My diff is starting to show signs of leaking (like they all do) with 400 hours.

My 3 rear remotes are fine so I haven't heard that story yet.

My friend bought a new M105 or 8 (not sure) in 2012 and had so much trouble the dealer bought it back last month. They had replaced the hydraulic pumps 4 times from what he told me, the fluid would overheat and burn the paint it got so hot. He said at one point it ran 400 degrees.

It's a big story but in the end it was a plugged cooler (not manufactured correctly) that ruined the thing. They finally found the problem so somebody else can own the thing now. They were good enough with some prodding to step up to the plate and get him into a new one with little money. It had around 400 hours also.

Can't post a photo for some reason but you know what faded paint looks like.

That's strange. My 2007 4240 HSTC looks pretty much like new except for the fiberglass/plastic roof is an off color orange.

At 640 hours, my Kubota shows no signs of diff leaking so perhaps your statement that all diffs show signs of leaking at 400 hours has at least one exception?:cool2:

BTDT,

Like your avatar. Some un-named posters mirror the broken record, capable of playing a single tune.

My differential does NOT leak, paint is NOT faded. Folks exist who do NOT sincerely wish to resolve issues, for the fact that if these phantom issues were to actually be resolved, the complainant would have little else to contribute.

650 hours on my 5240 and no leaks or fading yet. I do try to take good care of all my equipment and I’ve had good results.

2008 L3240 cab 3512 hours no leaks. Paint slightly faded (wax helps considerably). Uses ZERO oil runs as good as the day I bought it new. Everything on this tractor still works as good as it did the day I bought it.

I am sure you can find a more appropriate version, but what about some type of button cover for the PTO switch? Black Clear Plastic Push Button Switch Guard Protector - Electronic Component Pushbutton Switches - Amazon.com
Maybe that isn稚 the best if you need to hit it in an emergency. Would it be easy to relocate?

After operating a bit more......and being aware of my ability to bump the switch.....it seems like I can "live" with the switch as it is. But, if I find a stick-on means to protect that switch a bit......I may do that. Was thinking of something like the stick-on rubber pads used under chairs......but it would have to be about 3/4" high.

EDIT: Was just thinking about using a hole saw to cut a hole in a hockey puck.....then cutting the OD to proper size with a band saw. Then glueing the remaining circle / disk around the switch - that may work well to protect it. Hockey pucks are my solution to a number of things.....lol.

Kubota should really move this switch.....that would be the best solution.

Be careful about protecting that switch. The PTO is the most dangerous part of the reactor. You want to be able to blindly fumble for the switch & immediately turn it off in the event of any problems.

It is annoying the arm on the seat can occasionally bump it when you are bouncing around though.

I have a L3560hstc also. Love it so far 1 1/2 yeats old about 170 hrs. I want to add.a block heater. I bought one made for it screw in style. Supposed to go on the right front of block. I see a hex that looks about the right size but it is partly covered by the frame rail.

If anyone has added one any insight would be helpful.
