I read on two different forums that they left it set on the 30 minute timeout. When it timed out they picked it up, turned it over, turned it back up, set it down. The power LED came on and it never timed out again.

It has something in it that detects motion. So next time it shuts off try that or just shake it and it should turn on.

Our daughter had even worse problems activating hers. Also had to go get a new Sim card, still couldn't activate, so they told her to leave it off for 24 hours. I told her don't wait, call and keep trying.

Called and was transferred to a ZTE CSR that said he could see that it wasn't receiving signal from AT&T. (How could he see that?)

AT&T told her it was defective and take it to a corporate store, they would replace it. She asked if the Edmond store would have one? They said they checked and said yes. (they lied) She went to the store and no Mobley in stock.

She went home put the original Sim card in planning to mail the defective Mobley back for a replacement. Decided to plug it in one last time and it worked. :thumbsup:

Has been working fine for two days now.

I have learned to just shake it instead of having to cycle power and it will come back on. I need to invent a mobley shaker (someone probably has)

I wonder if some of the newer Mobley's have the shaker option, mine sure doesn't, and it never turns off. Maybe the vibration of the trains a 1/2 mile away keeps it alive.

Programmable platform - just gently tilts forward and back or side-to-side. It is not a gimbal.

Thanks, some do that but most are continuous rotation. Never had seen one and couldn't tell from the descriptions in the selling Websites, so went to YouTube.

Even some that rock side to side take some full turns first. So try before you buy.

motion does not affect mine. It always shuts off at the set duration. For those that have motion detection, hanging in front of a fan should work. My auto reset should arrive Thursday so it wont be a problem for me.

For people with Mobleys that go to sleep, when did you buy them? Or what is the firmware version? Mine doesn't do this. I probably bought it shortly after this thread was originally posted. I may have updated the firmware early on but haven't manually done that since.

I thought I set mine to 'sleep=never' originally but looking at it now it is back to '30 min' and there is no 'never' option. My firmware is VM6200V1.0.3
