It's true. You walk down the Isle and put a can of tuna in your coat pocket, it's theft. But miss something, or do something wrong in a self checkout to your favour, and hey, it's just an honest mistake.
On Tuesday, I walked right past the self check out with a carton of milk, to the flower department which is outside the secure area, bought flowers and paid for the milk there (where they put a sticker on it). I could have just walked out. I love the self checkouts, except figuring out how the screen works, what to press and worst of all, when stuff has to be weighed and product codes put in. That stretches my limits for learning new stuff to the limit.
