No and both dealers said that's coming in another month or two and neither one knew why or what the difference will be, what else can Husqvarna do, but atleast they kept the same 550 saw numbers, last thing we need is more numbers for a saw.

Well sofar that's the best offer and it will only take you 20 hrs to get here. I hope that saw dealer calls tomorrow, according to the wife he's a cracker jack saw guy.
Flip up fuel caps, fast becoming a fan, but what saw came up with that idea first? My sons Stihl is two years old and he likes the flip caps, so I put them side by side to see the flipping cap difference. The verdict is in, Husky has a far better flip cap, easy up, spring loaded so it easily flips back down. The Stilh I broke my flipping finger nail flipping the flipping flip cap up because it flips a little harder and not spring loaded.

Yup I have both and the Husky takes it on the flip caps. The Stihl has some weird thing that lets the flip spin from the rest of the cap and if it isn't lined up it's a pain..

I’ll have to check into those. I still have the old style on mine. I also like the threaded caps on the Husqvarna better than the half turn on the Stihl. It’s always seemed more ridged to me.
That's all it would cost, are you sure? How old is you 550xp? I dont know if things changed any, mine is a 4/2013, the new 550xp came with an extra filter which is a good thing and it looks the same shape but it has like a felt cover on the new one, soon as I get a spare sec I'll try my old extra filter on the new saw.

I’m going to have to go to the dealer and check about a clutch cover for my saw. It’s been cracked for a while and it recently broke off. It’s still usable but I don’t like the exposed sprocket.

Well, I bought a heavier power head from the west coast, and it cost me $25, so I wouldn't think it would cost more than 20 or so...
