Glock 43

   / Glock 43 #61
I have a Smith and Wesson mod 66 .357 that I carried when I first started on the job, yes it and I are both relics, but still enjoy taking it from the safe every now and then to put some rounds through.

Same here, one of my all time favorites, I'm thinking about buying another good used one to pass on. I've had several 1911s and never found a reliable one. I am selling my last one this weekend and pick up a Kimber or similar to see how they shoot.

ALERT: No need for anyone to flame me on the 1911, I'm still a little crispy over my last comment on them.

WOW, I only have one 1911, Sig STX and have had it for five years, reliable as it gets. The tolerances are so tight on some of them they aren't as reliable as many of the polymer wonders that's for sure. Kimber, I have read mixed reviews on them, never had one though..

I haven't bought a new one since the late 70's and it's the Colt Gold Cup National Match. I even sent it to a specialist and it still chokes.

Ya I see guys at the range clearing 1911's all the time. It's tough to spend that much money and it chokes.. I got a good one I guess

I had a smith 1911, ran like clockwork, just got better money for it that I couldn't pass up for something else...

Had a Kimber that I carried for a long time, thing was more accurate than I could ever be and can't ever remember a mis fire after I broke it in.

Have a 220 and a UST tactical, NEVER a misfire.

ANYTHING mechanical can break...

This may be hard to believe, but even Gocks misfire from time to time...

For thge .45, started carrying so mnay different guns I wanted one action only... Condition one wasn't it.

Your doctor can write you a prescription to fix your Gock misfire problem [[[ :) ]]]

Any misfire I have had was ammo or magazine related. Haven't run cheap ammo in years through my guns. I have only had one defective gun in all the years I have been shooting, it was a Springfield XDM 5inch competition, had a defective extractor, I replaced it with a tool steel replacement, never failed since.

I got my first Sig when a local department was evaluating the P226; loved it. Traded it for a P228 I still have, then my P220 and that thing never had a a failure. My youngest son has already spoken for it and I'm trying to figure out which of the new P220s to buy. It will just be a shooter and not for carry.
