Do y'all wash and wax your tractors on a regular basis? I wash mine regularly but haven't waxed it yet. This weekend I plan on wiping off all the grease that gunks up around the FEL and hit it real good with some purple power. What do you guys do?

I do all the time but mine is just a little emax22, Driving me nuts right now because it's dirty and the weather here has been crazy! over 50" of snow since the first of the year. I do a lot of driveways for neighbors and parents.

I'm ready to put the mowing deck on! Who ever thought of putting a woman (Mother Nature) in charge of the **** weather? Now we are suppose to get heavy rains Saturday with potential down pours and a high of 40. What the....?

Any vehicle I own gets waxed at least once a year. Wax on, wax off, great exercise and why not. Advice concerning cleaning up grease, park the tractor someplace you won't be walking, it is worse than dog crap about sticking to your boots and then removing from carpets.

The thing I hate most, is the loader being in the way of waxing the tractor front. That and white wax on black plastic parts.

If you can make a job like that more fun, it's likely to get done more often. A FOAM CANON, can be bought cheap off E-Bay and makes washing stuff more fun.

Great point about where to clean the grease!

No waxing for me. However, I have fantastic results with generic furniture polish in the spray can. Think, lemon Pledge. But, my local dollar tree is where I get mine. One area I concentrate on is the underside of the hood. Others have even waxed the underside of the fenders.

I put a good coat of wax on them right after I get them. Try to keep the dust off the flat paint surfaces as much as possible, cover them if they are going to sit for months unused. I sold my JD 2240 a couple years ago, and a garden tractor JD 420. Both hoods looked almost like new...

That works good as we are not worried about finger prints or the perfect shine. The slick surface helps a lot with my worst enemy....tree sap. Either what falls from a tree or when the tractor rubs against evergreen branches. If it can't stick to the surface, it washes off easily.

Wash... rarely
Wax...NEVER!
When it gets really bad I drag out the hot pressure washer.
Maybe....once a year ???
I do keep EVERYTHING inside!

I haven’t washed my Kubota M7060 once since I bought it back in 2017. It’s an outside tractor, I park it under a tree. I don’t have shelter for it YET!! I hope by summertime I’ll have at least a makeshift pole barn for it.

I'm doing a video series of me building my pole barn. It's quiet the process

Alright I’ve lurked long enough.....my sarcasm can’t take it anymore.......
Yah I waxed my tractor till I got a girlfriend!

Or

Yah I wax it. I find that waxing the bucket keeps the dirt from sticking.

Honestly I’ve never thought of waxing it. I haven’t dried more than the seat and wheel after blowing mud off of it. I lube and inspect it regularly but not wax.

I made an official sticker for our new JD 6200, Warning people to remove Dirty Footwear prior to getting on.

I got Green Color Match Wax that I found easier to work with, without finding white wax later. That Mid 90s tractor is worth a pile more now on the used market than we paid for it, even considering inflation. It pays to keep stuff nice.

Quite honestly I don't wax any of my vehicles. I have NO plans to wax my brand new Ram Power Wagon. However, I will hose down with a nozzle on the garden hose and scruff with a soft scrub brush. I will keep the mud and dirt off the vehicles - including the engines.

The only "waxing" I will do - I put vinyl protectant ( 303 ) on the tractor seat, motorcycle seats & vinyl in the PW passenger compartment.

I haven't quite figured out, yet, what to put on the leather seats in the PW. But I know leather has to be kept out of the sun - like the tires on my tractor.

Y'all know they're tractors, right? Ain't none of us Jay Leno with million dollar show cars.

And when I do my building ??? Won't be no videos, nor detailed pictures neither. Don't need no ev-eee-dence for them lawyer types later.

You can bet your bottom dollar if Jay Leno does have a tractor he has one of his guys waxing it for him...!

Besides - Diggin it - anybody ever tried to wax a LARGE pickup, like a PW. It's akin to waxing an aircraft carrier. All my vehicles are under cover and out of the suns UV damage.

I haven't waxed my tractor or even my vehicles since I've bought them. The cars get washed once in the spring to remove the road salt and a couple times in the summer when they get really dirty. The tractor sits under cover. When it gets too much dust on it I park it outside when we're expecting rain then it goes back inside once it's dry.
