Locust roots won’t rot, I have 4 towering locusts on our property. Plan to cut one down for some posts soon.

Yes they will, but it takes a few years. I've dug up quite a few over the years. Some of them get kind of stringy like wet rope, others get dry and brittle. What you'll find when you cut one down fresh is that it won't want to die. The roots will send up saplings all over the place for the first year or two. I just kept mowing them until they finally gave up.

How do you like your RK24 so far? I am driving to our RK dealer Monday to look at one.

I Love mine, I just wish it would stop raining in East Tennessee so I could use it more.

Just completed 500ft of French drain before heavy rain moved in the area this week! Love the RK24 this little machine plays hard.

Wish it was dry enough to work around here. Rain...rain...rain Mud...mud...mud. What did you use for gravel in the french drain? I was thinking of trying crushed concrete but afraid there will be too much concrete dust in the mix.

I used 3/4" to 1" gravel for the Sub-surface drainage, and 4# 12x12 Storm drains for surface drainage! Just completed the job couple hours before the heavy rain set in. We received 4.5" of rain fall! The ground sure does need a break from rain.

I need to turn some new garden space, but if I drove the tractor out in the field it would sink out of sight. It seems like it has rained every day for a year... We had a fellow get killed not far from us when the highway across Clinch Mountain let go. I'm having to take the long way to work this week because there are still cars floating in the water on my usual path from this weekend's rains.
