We are a global economy, parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies are made all over the world and ship to the final assembly point.

It's the assembled part that gets me, I keep hearing about quality control problems.

In that case, it doesn't matter how good the parts are...

The quality control with Massey is top notch. The plant is China is owned my AGCO, managed by AGCO, and operated by AGCO. It is a $300 mil state of the art plant.. Other companies like Deere and Case/NH have 3rd parties build their tractors. For example, Case/NH has Turk Tractor build their Farmall series tractors.

India and China both have more students in advanced classes than we have students. They are behind in a lot of things but there are plenty of smart people to help them figure it out.

I've had a chance to visit other countries (including 3rd world and Muslim, BTW 3rd world does not mean Muslim or vs.). Before I went I had a pre-concieved notion as to what I would see based on what I'd been told by the US media and other US sources. That did not turn out to be the case. There are very skilled, talented, and intelligent people in every country I've visited, and vast majority of them were welcoming. You just have to be sure to get something that is done by the right company that has the high standards that you're looking for.

I like/own AGCO products, but there's no excuse for having quality control problems, unless it's because of the people who build them, and that's happening in china.

I have not heard of any. Have not had one issue with mine. My dealer is first rate too, so maybe it's in the PDI.

Only the Political system and Law Enforcement is third world in Mexico.

I would say that India is a GREAT place to build tractors. Whether any given manufacturer is interested and invested in producing a high quality product is the question.

That's the reason Microsoft years ago opened up a software development company there. They've also discovered that indians have a genetic propensity for mathematics. Don't forget that indians have invented the 1st sundial over 3,000 years ago and it still keeps time measuring it every 2 seconds.

That's right - it is greatly dependent on quality control. Does anyone remember US cars of the 70's? I remember 2 yr old Vegas with door panels rusted through. The Ford attempt at a rolling Molotov cocktail - the Pinto. And quality control was such that one dreaded buying a car made on Hangover Monday or Party Friday.
